We were stuck for accommodation on a Saturday night when everything was booked out or too expensive. Cairn hotel were nice enough to give us a single room for 2 people without breakfast. It was a nice room with comfy bed and little sink. Enough room for one of us to sleep on the floor.

Was in Carrbridge visiting and it was suggested the Cairn as a place for a meal. Sat in the "conservatory" area windows nice shame about rest of décor. We were given (very stained and grubby)menus quickly but took another 20 minutes to get someone to take our order. The mains were OK both priced around £9 each. The pudding (sticky... More

Visited Landmark so stayed for 1 night with other half n 2 kids. Food was lovely, room was clean and spacious. Staff were all very friendly and polite. Kids got some DVDs to watch which kept them amused for the evening. Great breakfast in the morning ready for the day ahead. Would recommend and will return.

We arrived at the hotel around noon and the welcome was really warm and friendly. We had lunch and and a drink, and then went for a stroll while our room was being made up. It was really nice to enjoy the food and a drink outdoors in the sun. (And the outdoors seating has sunshine all afternoon and evening... More

On a recent business trip to Inverness I decided to spend a night in the Cairn. I had a nice room overlooking Main Street, and I wasn't disturbed by overnight traffic. I had several pints of beer and a very nice dinner. I met the owner and he introduced me to several local residents. I shall definitely stay in the... More

Excellent and varying range of guest ales, many of them locally-produced, can be supped in front of a real log fire, unless you wish to play snooker (which I didn't). Staff are friendly and often seem to have amazingly good memories of what I had a fortnight or so earlier when I was in previously. I generally find the locals... More

Never dined her but the food locked and smelled darn good. Spend a couple of evenings and an afternoon here the latter rehydrating after a good walk around the village. Nice coal fireplace can imagine in the winter this end of the bar would be well and truly popular. I notice from certificates on the wall the bar has been... More

Our regular eating establishment when staying in Carrbridge. Food was as good as ever! Excellent value and massive portions. The other half had the Steak pie which was huge and smelled delicious, my burger was homemade and tasted great, served with lovely rustic chips. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Will be back to eat here in June!
