The main building is exquisite and that is where it ends. The rooms in the stable annex are so run down it is a joke. Wafer thin pillows , , no pillow cases on the disgustingly old spare pillows so that all past stains are glaringly apparent. Beds that have alarming dips into the middle. Housekeeping? Lets see do you... more

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The hotel itself was a beautiful old building. Our room was an "executive" one in the refurbished stable block at the front of the hotel. The room was a good size and looked as if it had been recently painted, The attached bathroom was quite large with a modern (but very underpowered)... more

We really enjoyed our stay in the Salford Hall Hotel. Even though we paid bargain prices on Expedia we were given beautifully furnished large rooms in the main building. In the evening you can sit in big comfy sofas by the fire and drink wine from their extensive list. They also have a decent hotel restaurant (£20 for two courses,... more

On arrival on Friday afternoon, the weather was not too good, the wind was howling and the rain was horizontal. We were told our room was in the annexe (Room 18, across the courtyard) but we could park our car outside :) We went into our room, the heating was not on, so it was very cold.Turned all the radiators... more

The hotel was lovely from the outside & charming inside, with some lovely features. People who like swanky modern hotels could be disappointed as in keeping with the old building staircases are narrow etc but this is part of the charm of such hotels. Plumbing can be slightly temperamental - you need to let the shower run a little to... more

This was our 4th visit to Salford Hall and is likely to be our last. I had specifically booked a four poster room in the main hotel and not the annex part (because I wanted a room with character and charm, like the one featured in their brochure) for my Fiance's Birthday and we have friends who highly recommended one... more

I was really looking forward to this break away, we drove up towards the hotel and it looked magnificent, what a beautiful old hotel built from Cotswold stone. We walked into the small reception where there was a lovely warming log fire, unfortunately that's where the romance of this trip ended! We stayed in the main building, a place not... more

We stayed in one of the rooms in the converted barn rather than the main hotel. The room was clean and comfortable although there was evidence of a previous damp patch in the ceiling which hadn't been repaired and the grout in the bathroom was mouldy. The complimentary tea and coffee had not been replenished. All small issues, but attention... more

Me and my husband stayed at Salford Hall for one night on 10/11/07. The photos on the Best Western web site are accurate. It is in a lovely rural setting about 15 minutes drive from the park and ride in Stratford and we found it very easy to find. There is a village pub five minutes walk away. The hotel... more

We stayed at the hotel for two nights as we has an event to attend at the NEC.Although about 25 miles from the NEC it only took about 40 mins to drive there. The hotel was very comfotable and the staff exceedingly friendly and helpful. We had a four poster bedroom on the second floor of the main house. The climb... more
