I'm shocked to read the bad reviews about this hotel. I first stayed here in 2007 and loved the location and character. We stayed here a few weeks ago and again early June 2009 so my review is based on both these most recent trips. The staff were great, really friendly and nothing too much trouble. Our room in the... more

This is a beautiful hotel in a very good location, but breakfast was a disappointment. I have stayed in this hotel before and breakfast was good. On this occasion, we were informed that there was no bacon or pork sausage - the owner has removed pork products from the menu. So no Full English Breakfast. This must be a big... more

Some of the reviews of this hotel on this site are very unfair. We had a great stay.the food was about the best I've ever had in an English hotel, and that included the breakfast. Some others have said the menu was restricted. Having once worked in the restaurant trade I can say that that is a bonus. It means... more

I ended up staying in this hotel by default because it was Gold Cup week, and couldn't believe my eyes when I arrived. I had looked at the reviews before going and was slightly apprehensive, however my worries proved foundless. The staff were friendly and welcoming, with the Manager giving me the history of the hotel.. I stayed in Room... more

A tudor hotel with bags of history and character, that was once linked to a monastery. There is also a resident ghost if you believe the legend. Situated just off the A46 between Evesham and Stratford with tennis court, grounds and small walled garden. Some rooms are in the main building, some are in the converted coach house/granary just across the... more

The hotel was a last minute choice for a friends birthday celebrations. We had a lovely room (Room 21) which looked like it had just been refurbished. Bizarrely there were one or two things missing in the room - waste bin, tea spoons and bulbs in the bed side lamps but I think these had been overlooked when finishing the... more

When the date was set for our daughter´s wedding we knew that once the vicar/church was booked we needed a venue for the reception. My daughter found the Salford Hall - and it looked the ideal place. The staff were extremely helpful - and when we were told we could have the whole of the hotel for our exclusive use... more

On arriving we were given a warm welcome by receptionist but from then on things went downhill. Our room in one of the outside buildings was supposed to be non smoking but on entering the passageway to the room there was a smell of smoke .Inside the room the bed cover looked untidy but we didnt take much notice until later... more
