Moving in the area so took friends to show them our house and also took opportunity to try out a local pub! If you like oldie world, log fires, timber beams and old world charm then this place is for you. Its not as cheap as some of the other nearby pubs but the charm more than makes up for... More

Arrived late having booked online and was greeted frostily by ? Landlord who handed me straight over to a very friendly girl who seemed to be doing everything! Room was nice and bed comfortable but not enough hot water to fill one bath ( and this was a room for four!)which is really annoying! And a half done shower waiting... More

I great fire place and over mantel dominates the main bar. The food choice was varied and quite tasty. There was a good choice of ales in theory. Only one was available each of the two nights, one ran out one night, the other the second. They were both nice though so all good. The building is interesting a quirky,... More

If you like Ikea or conglomerate hotels don't go there but if you enjoy old fashioned hospitatlity with a lot of local character this is the place for you. Introduced to The Dusthole by friends we will definately return and recommend. The rooms are full of character and a few niggles can be put down to the age of the... More

I've stayed here three times, twice on business and (having been so impressed with the new family suite) once with my family in the new family suite. I've enjoyed every minute of every stay, the food is fantastic which includes the breakfasts with the best sausages! The rooms are all unique and some a bit quirky which all adds to... More

We were made to feel very welcome, with a lovely breakfast--bit run down but that`s part of the charm, after all it is called "The Dust Hole". We had a very spacious room with a very comfortable bed, plenty of towels-books on the bookcase-see if you can find "a doggy day" wonderful old book!

Stayed in late Sept for a few nights, the good things were the breakfast, which was freshly cooked and ample; and the lovely dog who welcomed us. The rooms were all very run down and needed work and as the other reviews say there were holes in the ceiling and lack of hot water to some of the rooms. Don't... More

We stayed one night. We had a meal in the pub which was fine except for them running out of rice so I changed my curry to a steak which was fine. The carpet and the windowsills needed a good vacuum. The room was a pleasant surprise and had been well thought out and decorated and to my surprise after... More

As a previous guest of Tony and his quirky hotel, we thought we'd book in again when on business in the area....we were glad we did. We had a good one-nights stay. The ale, in the lovely old bar with a log-fire burning brightly, is still excellent, and I had a lovely few pints of the "Buttcombe" directly from the... More
