We recently stayed here for a long weekend. I cannot praise the staff enough for the care we were given while there, when I got locked out of my room they couldn't have been more helpful and we're happy to accommodate our late arrival on the Friday. The room itself was very comfortable and clean although did smell quite musty... More

First thing you find is that you have to park a considerable distance away from the Sealand as their is no car park and no off street parking available. Staff are friendly and helpful and room was nice but not worth £130 as booked through Expedia. Nice breakfast cooked and served by very friendly staff.

Travelling for 4 and a half months as we have been, you get good at quickly recognising on arrival whether you have booked a winner, or have made a mistake. We easily recognised that this place was a winner when we were shown to our room by a friendly owner, observed it was large with good facilities, and then had... More

We booked a superior room, thinking that it would be better than average. Mistake !! Our room had a bad odor , At first we thought it was coming from the drains outside the room, but after closing the windows it got worse ! The carpet was badly stained and the pillows smelled of cat pee as our bodies warmed... More

There's nothing intrinsically bad about this guest house, but I was expecting something more for a 4* rating and a cost of £100 per night. Here are the good bits - the room was clean (initially, see the not-so-good bits), it was comfortable and we got a warm welcome. Breakfast was great - lovely food & the serving staff were... More

Great hotel, traveling home from a 8 day stay having shared a room with a colleague. What could have been a tiring week was made easy with a comfortable, traditional and functional room. Comfortable bed, lovely bay/sash window which made the room light and airy. Added extras like iron, shower gel shampoo/conditioner and quality bath robes were all appreciated. Quiet location... We booked on the basis of Trip advisor reviews; big mistake this time. Kept waiting on the doorstep for 20 minutes, locked out, despite having booked the arrival time: and our wait time on the doorstep was not the longest amongst the guests by a long chalk. The two stars are for the chambermaid; the room was spotlessly clean and... More

Stayed at this b&b for two nights, from the minute we arrived at reception it was untidy and full of dust and it just got worse........! We was given our key, when we went into our room it was smelly. The carpets had lots of stains all over them plus the curtains was marked too with lots of stains on... More

My partner and I booked last minute to stay at the Seafield house for 2 nights. We were greeted by friendly staff who gave us all the info we needed and we also secured a parking space for our stay at a small fee which we were really pleased about as parking in brighton is quite expensive. Our room was... More
