I don't want to do an independent business harm, but I think the owners need a reality check. Our overall impression was that we were intruders in someone else's house. Our room was nice- twin beds, nice and clean, but the television didn't work (needs an ariel), there was a half bottle of water (no glasses), which we thought was... More

Stayed here on a Fri evening following a family gathering. Very friendly family B&B, comfortable room and excellent breakfast - Bacon, eggs, sausage, mushrooms, beans, tomato, fresh juice, tea or coffee, local Dorset muesli. We were welcomed with a cup of tea and the best muffins ever. Thank you!

I needed to stay somewhere close to Blandford Forum whilst on business, and came across Hawthorn Cottage by chance really. It's safe to say that I am glad I did! If you stay here, you'll get a really warm welcome, a great room in a really nice house. You'll also get well fed too - the breakfast is better than... More
