Thanks to the hotel manager, Müslüm Erden, we had a really good time in this hotel. As a big group, it was not easy to satisfy everybody. But Müslüm - fluently english speaking -, was very, very helpful and friendly with us, our desires and questions. He knows the town very well and gave good advices - eating, special deals,... More

The only positive to this hotel is it's location to the Balik Göl(Fish Lake) & the Parklands, other than that, it's an overpriced budget hotel. The crimson curtains, fake floral bouquets, badly coordinated paintwork, do not save it from the non-working smelly toilet, cheap furniture & fit out, dead wifi & no sound proofing. Our taxi driver to his credit... More

To the hotel reception "Edessa" in Urfa We salute the Reception very much! Now we have arrived back home after we have traveled nine weeks through the beautiful Turkey. We have visited so many cultural and archaeological sites and had many friendly encounters and conversations with people. Therein, of course, we got a lot of useful information. Now we enjoy... This is my first review on tripadvisor. As a matter of fact, I signed up for writing this up. Hotel is located on a noisy street. It is 2.25am at this point, and I can't sleep due to the shopkeepers' (food stores are still open) chattering. (and, I had asked for a quiet room when checking in!). Now, the room...... More

I arrived in Sanliurfa tired after my thirteen hour trip, I jumped on the bus outside the airport and asked for central Urfa, it cost me 10 Turkish Lira straight of the bus I jumped in a taxi and was dropped off at the Edessa hotel. Taxi cost 20 Turkish Lira. I was just glad to reach my destination. After... More

We always check the beds on arrival - in 3 weeks in Turkey this was the only place that we had bed bugs. Room was budget, but looked clean enough. However, both beds were riddled with bed bugs. We left immediately - unfortunately had paid with Expedia.

The locations is perfect to explore Urfa, very helpfull staff, they can make a private tour for you. We went to Gobekli tepe with Salih, he also took us to some other places which we didnt know about before. The rooms arent luxurious but clean, breakfast was good as well. I recommend this hotel for the backpackers who dont expect... More

We stayed at the Edessa Hotel in May 2013, a nice hotel in a good location. Our rooms faced the street, which was noisy on the weekend until around 11:00 pm, but then quieted down. Rooms had balconeys which were a great location to watch the street life below us. The hotel owner and his right-hand man Saleh went over... More

The rooms here are average, to be honest. But I struggle to think of a hotel, even five star, where I have received such warm and sincere service. The manager, the desk staff, the bellboys: everybody went out of their way to accommodate us. The prices are quite low and you are just across the street from the entrance to... More
