The outlook from our room was spectacular, the gardens, the castle ,mosque and Abrahams pool before us. Our room was large and nicely decorated but best of all were the comfortable mattresses on the beds We were fortunate also to have sole access to a large terrace with expansive views. Dinner was only average and breakfast was very busy .... More

The location is perfect - close to Urfa Bazaar, well known sites, and the lovely park. The hotel has a comfortable and cool patio. The tame pet pidgins or were they doves (?) were friendly and would sit on your shoulder. The food was good but this is a "dry" area and no alcohol is served. Air condition did not... More

This was my 5th stay in this (alcohol-free) 5star hotel - room & bathroom are spacious, clean and well-maintained - very rich breakfast buffet - several extra facilities like fitness, pool and Turkish bath! There is Wifi all over the place! Although I would give the place only a 4 star rating, it has the big advantage of being just... More

Do not stay here if you are a woman or have women in your group! Women are only allowed to use the five star facilities after 10pm (for 30mins with a pool attendant wearing only a towel wrapped around his waist, watching you use the swimming pool!!!!) if you are lucky you can book a time before this but your... Urfa, being the ancient Greek town of Edessa and the birth place of prophet Abraham (supposedly) is a very important city of south eastern Turkey. One of the most famous touristic site is the LAKE OF FISH. Supposedly Abraham was catapulted from a hill above the lake and instead of him falling to the lake as burning pieces the pieces... More

I stayed here on business and found the El Ruha comfortable and friendly, The property is around 25 years old and needs a bit of attention here and there. However, that makes it a bit more authentic and this is after all Urfa, a gem of the south, and not a typically dull European business city. The location is great... More

It's in thr city center of Urfa and thus close to many historical sights. It is also in very historical building. However, the furniture in the rooms are old and not in a good condition. The floor does not seem very clean and the room smells like an ash tray.

The location of the hotel is perfect, in the very centre of Sanliurfa, right next to Balikli göl, Abraham's cave and bazaar. Rooms are also spacious, quite nicely decorated and clean. Bathrooms are kind of old-fashioned, with the shower on top of the bath tub, and a bit tired. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The dinner... More

I stayed in El Ruha for a night during my business trip to Urfa. It is in the center of the old city area, right across the touristic Balikligol and below the Urfa Castle. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, the breakfast was adequate, the price became reasonable after a small bargain using the company name. The room... More
