The hotel is really quite magnificent.Large reception areas all paneled in dark wood,as are the rooms.I had a big room with good views and for once the bed was actually soft,The service is good but I was fortunate to have my tour guide as the English spoken was rudimentary. Breakfast for a Turk would have been classified as very good,but... More

I really enjoyed my two nights here at the Hotel El Ruha. My room was huge with a spacious attached bathroom, wonderful beds (much softer than the usual granite slabs in most Turkish hotels), good pillows, and a great view of the park across the street. I could walk to absolutely everything! A terrific location. Dinner was certainly plentiful and... More

After reading mixed reviews of this hotel I was pleasantly surprised. My one night stay here in a clean and comfortable room that was spacious with a matching bathroom was extremely pleasant. Wi-Fi in the room worked well. Both dinner, a set course, and breakfast, a buffet, were tasty. The hotel facilities were extensive and invited one to explore and... More

A modern hotel but with a very distinctive architectural style inside and out - no danger of waking in the night and thinking you are in a Holiday Inn. Our room overlooked Gölbaşı Park - the beds were particularly comfortable - and the bathroom well maintained. We were traveling with a group on half-board - the fixed menu dinner we were... More

The outlook from our room was spectacular, the gardens, the castle ,mosque and Abrahams pool before us. Our room was large and nicely decorated but best of all were the comfortable mattresses on the beds We were fortunate also to have sole access to a large terrace with expansive views. Dinner was only average and breakfast was very busy .... More

The location is perfect - close to Urfa Bazaar, well known sites, and the lovely park. The hotel has a comfortable and cool patio. The tame pet pidgins or were they doves (?) were friendly and would sit on your shoulder. The food was good but this is a "dry" area and no alcohol is served. Air condition did not... More

This was my 5th stay in this (alcohol-free) 5star hotel - room & bathroom are spacious, clean and well-maintained - very rich breakfast buffet - several extra facilities like fitness, pool and Turkish bath! There is Wifi all over the place! Although I would give the place only a 4 star rating, it has the big advantage of being just... More

Urfa, being the ancient Greek town of Edessa and the birth place of prophet Abraham (supposedly) is a very important city of south eastern Turkey. One of the most famous touristic site is the LAKE OF FISH. Supposedly Abraham was catapulted from a hill above the lake and instead of him falling to the lake as burning pieces the pieces... More

I stayed here on business and found the El Ruha comfortable and friendly, The property is around 25 years old and needs a bit of attention here and there. However, that makes it a bit more authentic and this is after all Urfa, a gem of the south, and not a typically dull European business city. The location is great... More
