We wanted to take a short trip with the dog, so Catzand is ideal and the hotel animal-friendly. The hotel in itself is a bit dated, but at least not a high towering building as you see that many in Knokke for example. The room was clean, with a view on the close sea, big enough, toilet separated from the... More

a very strange sensation -this hotel is a 1940 hotel ! Not a good value - the rooms are not clean and dated - the bathroom is not clean - there is no lift - the breakfast is a camping breakfast and there is no hospitality at all - we paied 145 € for one night -for this price we... More

This is à laugh as à four-star hotel. Rooms are small, stains on our bedspread, not enough room for à decent table in the room. Small tv screen mounted on the wall, all grey and brown in appearance. Tiny, tiny bathroom with the cheapest sort of toilet paper and toilet seat not properly attached to toilet. Dogs in restaurant for... More

I was warned about this hotel by some of the reviews. Now I don't agree that the rooms were small. We had room 28 which was really spacious. Also the bathroom was spacious. I didn't find the room nor bathroom particularly clean (there were hairs on the cupboards). The hotel is really old and it seems it must have been... More

Across the street from beach, restaurant was nice but a bit pricey, room and decor were out dated. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with a large selection. Not typical European breakfast. Great location for a quiet, relaxing beach getaway.

We stayed here for Two nights and the room was ok but a bit dated. The bed was comfortable and the TV did have a few English channels. The bathroom was a bit on the small size. There is no hospitality tray in your room so you may want to take a travel kettle. The indoor swimming pool was lovely and... More

Nicely situated hotel. Very close to the beach (where you can find fossilized shark teeth). We had a room with a sea view. Room was a bit small, but maybe we are spoiled.. Staff was very friendly. Restaurant serves good quality food. And, if you're with children, the hotel has a swimming pool (1.40m depth) and a tenpin bowling centre.

As a regular visitor to this location, I hope you will find detail on both accommodation and surroundings helpful. I am a dog owner and have been to few hotels where the animal is made as welcome as here. (The enthusiasm of our black labrador Tess tells all about her opinion.) I judge the price/value ratio of the hotel as... More
