We knew when making the booking that the room would be more noisy than usual, but be aware: Our room was next to a discotheque and it became really, really noisy at 2am in the morning. The whole room was vibrating in tune with the music for about 1,5 hours until the club closed. In our view, this kind of... More

Stayed here for two nights during King's day. We were happy the room as it was huge and they provided a baby bed which is new. The room has a bath tub which my son enjoyed, it is right smack city center and right beside the beach so everything is walking distance. The only let down was the restaurant, good... More

Rather Spartan rooms but adequate and acceptable for the price. Bathroom clean but showerhead was rather clogged up and I found the used soap of a previous guest on the rim of the shower enclosure. The towels were completely worn out, this is not acceptable and unnecessary. With some attention and small investments this hotel can easily be upgraded to... More

Stayed for 2 nights in this hotel on a romantic get-away. Overall clean hotel, but little to no spirit and certainly not warm or romantic. First night was horrible, although the mattresses were suposingly new, they were way to soft and had an obvious hole in the middle. Even though the hotel management solved this by providing us with a... More

We had to spent a night in De Koog because we were walking over the island, and De Koog is halfway. We had a room in the back, fortunately, and slept fine. The hotel is slightly boring, the breakfast is OK. Avoid De Koog, but if you have to be there this is a affordable possibility. No surprises, nothing very... More

We booked in advance for a room and were warned that the room was street facing, and that it might not be quiet. Living downtown in a large city, we are quite accustomed to some background noise. However at the hotel we needed to pay an additional 35 euro per night extra to get a room that would be acceptably... More

De Koog on Texel is a very busy place. Watch out if you book this hotel. The front is noisy. If you want to make certain you have a good night rest ask for a room at the back. The hotel is located very near the beach which is great. The hotel rooms are simple. Beds are a bit small.

The hotel is located in the lively town of De Koog which has a variety of restaurants, bars and smaller clubs. I had a room facing the dunes and was therefore not bothered by any noise etc. The staff was quite friendly and the rooms as the rest of the hotel was clean. The hotel is a perfect starting point... Nice and clean hotel that offers a lovely breakfast buffet. Our Comfort Room (twin bed, bathroom, tv) had a big balcony/terrace. A nice place to stay at during the low season, would definitely not recommend for the weekends or summer holdays, for the hotel is located next to two clubs and numerous restaurants with terraces for outdoor dining (this will... We stayed for a week end in the family "suite". It was convenient, with 2 rooms but the decoration is really cheap: plastic ceiling, a false cheminée and small beds. It was noisy as well. Some plus points: we could see the see from the room and the location is convenient. The breakfast is really poor and the service awful.... More
