Stayed here for two nights in really hot weather in July. No air con but if you leave the window open with the fly guard across the window locked and close the curtains you do get a draft. We were downstairs and felt safe. The bells did chime frequently from the tower from the village but once you got used... More

Was a little apprehensive after reading some reviews, but we found this hotel much better than expected and certainly a whole lot better than some we've stayed in!! Arrived late, but a meal - and good food at that - appeared immediately. Can't fault the breakfast, there's something for everyone - cereal, cold meats, a wide selection of breads and... More

Stayed here with 2 other couples on a National Holidays trip in June. Never again.Pool of dirty green stagnant water at the base of the hotel steps. The entrance and reception looked like they had not been cleaned for months and whole area was very dark. The bedroom was along a very long corridor had no wardrobe space or any drawers... More

Rooms are clean and reception are friendly enough - gave us a free late checkout. Wifi is 2Euro per day. Breakfast is basic but good for the price in accommodation. You can hire bikes and the bus stop is close and easy to catch into Amsterdam. 10euro for an all day ticket. Probably would not stay here again though due... More

Recently visited this hotel with National Holidays. After reading earlier reviews I was very apprehensive but pleasantly surprised. Although we arrived early afternoon our rooms were available. Basic, no drawers, but clean and warm. Staff were helpful and food plentiful although not great for vegetarians (even though this had been pre-booked). Great location overlooking lake. . Main downside was the... More

Arrived late at hotel, staff very accommodating meal quickly made available even though arrival Was later than they expected.Meals Buffett style, food of good quality and plenty of it. Room plain and simple, down side little storage,in my opinion motel like. Setting very good room overlooked the lake, very peaceful. Hotel a short walk from the village and marina, both worth a visit. Staff were... More

We stayed here for four nights April/May on our coach holiday. The hotel is about 30 mins from Amsterdam, so you have the fresh country air to come home to from the hectic manic city. The setting is lovely surrounded by water, but with this comes mosquitoes so unless you want to be eaten alive, don't open the windows to... More
