This hotel has an historic atmosphere about it. Some of the foundations of the hotel are clearly from another era. The receptionists were so very friendly and helpful. I only speak English and German but the Dutch people generally speak a various amount of languages – which could put some of us to shame I feel! My room number 6... More

We had lovely time staying in this hotel. The rooms are lovely, with nice views. I loved the velvet chesterfield couches in our hotel room! We also had the high tea and breakfast in the restaurant. Both were lovely with very attentive waiters. Also, the option to use the pool, sauna and jacuzzi in the neighbouring hotel Vlodorp was very... More

The retorated castle houses the reception and restaurant. The newly build castletower has af few very well equipped rooms, well decorated and with lovely views! Tip: try dining in the restaurant and with nice weather on the terrace near the water.

The rooms are very nice with a terras, a sitting area and a good bedroom. The breakfat is very good. Staff... More

We have eaten here a few times now. The restaurant overlooking the castle's own moat is breathtakingly beautiful. I can see why this is a popular wedding venue because it is charming ... if you can say that about a castle! :-) The bar opens up to a lovely courtyard which is relaxing to sit in the early evening sun.... I didn't stay at this hotel, but spent a very convivial evening dining here. The food was excellent and the attention to detail commendable. Staff were very attentive and helpful - they couldn't do enough for us. Pleasant setting, good atmosphere. I would certainly consider staying here on a future visit.

Stayed here for a business trip in Herkenbosch and had a room in the annex. The main building with restaurant and lounge was very pleasant and quality of services and food were excellent. The room itself was spacious and the WiFi (essential during a business trip) worked without problems and was included in the prize. I will definitely use the... More

115 euros for a 60m2 (?) room with an outdoor terrace, including a very nice breaktast for two, free internet, friendly staff and a beautiful location. Is it perfect? No, but for the price this is a great stay.

Even if you had a shred of doubt that you are going to be spoiled in luxury, this doubt is removed quickly when you look at the overwhelming information on the web site and pay the hefty price for this arrangement. First of all, unless you book a suite, you do not get to stay in the castle, but in the surrounding converted cow sheds. We had a studio room with a small private garden, downstairs living room, upstairs bedroom with separate bathroom. The furniture looks very tired and comes complete with stains from all previous users. The carpet in the... More
