We came for two days to explore the park, museum and Utrecht,by way of sleeping over in Otterlo. i like to space areas comfortably and be centrally located to save time. This abode certainly ticks my boxes....Its half a mile from the park entrance, being a Dutch designer's take on a traditional lodge with woodsy touches and modern flair. Yes,its a very... More

Initially appeared to be interesting as we arrived ..quirky styled room ..however it overlooked a cemetery with lighted candles flickering in the evening! The swimming pool looks so good online but was cold ,more of a plunge pool for the sauna, also having to access it via a wooden spiral staircase..very unsafe as it wobbled and was slippy. We intended to... More

Stayed here with my son. Our room was charming and comfortable, very quiet. The pool is small but warm and relaxing. There is a small work-out room with modern equipment. In fact the management have been able to collect a magnificent collection of equipment into a very small space. More than three people using the gym equipment at a time... More

Our visit to Hoge Veluwe National Park/Kroller-Muller Museum was the last segment of our three-week trip to the Netherlands and Belgium, and Boutique Hotel Sterrenberg was a wonderful place for the finale. It’s at the entrance to the park, so you couldn’t ask for a better location. The rooms are modern yet cozy. Though expensive, dinner was excellent. Only one... More

We spent a weekend cycling in the area and enjoying the lovely breakfast and dinners and drinks on the terrace. We had beautiful weather but if you were to have bad weather the hotel has everything to keep you amused. So close to the Veluwe and many lovely sites and town in the area. The rooms are spacious and well... More

We enjoyed our stay at Sterrenberg under the watchful eyes of stuffed Eland head above the fireplace! The rooms were ultra chic design, making the most of a tight space which is a very Dutch thing. The staff were welcoming and we had a lovely meal in the restaurant the first night though it was a bit pricey. Alice had... More

I tried to submit a review when we stayed there Sept. 18, but I don't think the review went through. I didn't complete the final page. We were very happy with our stay - the decor is a decorator's dream; the room was clean, comfortable, and quiet; and the breakfast buffet was beyond description: fresh fruit, pastries, fresh squeezed orange... This a nice and friendly design hotel. The rooms are good, the pool is nice, the restaurant may however be too pricy for your appetite. I found so. But great for a drink and you can have a cheaper, and less refined, meal in town. Or town? Otterlo is really really boring so come for the nature here and the... More

An earlier reviewer described the hotel as an 'oasis'. I agree. It is a lovely little hotel, with excellent facilities, customer service and a really nice feel about it. Otterlo itself is also a lovely little village. The breakfast we had was one of the best we had in Europe and we also made good use of the fantastic swimming... More

We had been in a few cities before arriving in the small village of Otterlo and were so happy to experience the trees and outdoor feeling of Hotel Sterrenberg. It is located right near the entrance to the Hoge Veluwe National Park and a fabulous property. We were warmly welcomed told about the serving times for breakfast and the hours... More
