Very cute town (listed as a city though), hotel and rooms decorated typically in the style of the day. If you aren't able to climb/descend stairs, this hotel is definitely not for you! Staff were friendly and mostly efficient, when challenged though, not so friendly and unprofessional. Tourist tax charged, was way over the suggested authorities tax. This was reported.

Located in the smallest town of the Netherlands, Bronkhorst, the Inn 'De Gouden Leeuw' (the golden lion) is a very comfortable and neat hotel. Friendly staff and a simple but sufficient kitchen. Take in the restaurant the Jägerschnitzel and you won't be disappointed. The housewines are recomended as well.

This is a hotel that really makes a person relax. The rooms are very nice, clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and helps make your stay even better. Bronkhorst is the smallest town in The Netherlands with 150 citizens. I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is not suited for handicapped people. The are some stairs to climb.... More

We've visit the restaurant of Herberg de Gouden Leeuw twice this week. We didn't stay in the hotel so we have only experienced the food and that was poor. Poor quality, poor quantity. Our first dinner was on a Sunday so we thought perhaps the kitchen had a busy day. Because Bronkhorst is such a lovely little village we thought... More

first view of the room was a positive one. Not really good, but authentic. However, we could hear everybody walking through the hallway... The bed was noisy as hell. When I rolled over, my wife woke up... The breakfast was seriously overpriced.

Our room was outside the inn, in De Vier Linden. Good room, with roof terrace. No coffee/tea amenities in the room, a bit disappointing. The bed was situated in a "bedstee", very comfortable to sleep in but not so comfortable when you have to get out of bed at night for a visit to the bathroom. Dinner at the inn... More

Nice place to stay for the one night. The surroundings are really beautiful and peaceful. The room was stunning (suite) and clean. No tea/coffee amenities in the room though. The bathroom was nice but needed some maintenance as the shower water leaked on to the floor and the jacuzzi slightly broken (they had used duct tape to fix the handles).... More

We spent one night in this delightful hotel and we were very satisfied with the service, the staff and the rooms. The old style of the house is very well integrated to the modern comfort of today. This hotel and also the litlle town of Bronkhorst have their own charm and sometimes we thought to be on a little time... More

If only the manager wasn't so arrogant this could have been an amazing experience. First the good part - the room and decor were beautiful. Our dinner and breakfast were delicious. Some of the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Now the bad part. We were travelling with my brother and his Dutch wife, so they had made the booking... More

Very indifferent staff. Sloppy reception - we were told our room would not be ready until 3 pm. When we got back at 3 pm. the room was still not ready. Our room was in an annexe, no tea/coffee making facilities, no internal telephone and no information re: hotel or surroundings available whatsoever. I am a Dutch national and the... More
