I stayed here one night in June on a tour through the Netherlands with my partner from Canada. Many people summarised it well: this is an inn (herberg), not a hotel. When I booked it, it was rather last-minute, and the room cost me 110 euro. I was hoping that it wasn't quite as old-school inn as the name would... More

It was absolutely great staying in this beautiful, historic and very quiet hotel. The room we stayed in (2 person room) was rather small, but sufficient. Rooms are clean, bed are ok. Breakfast is fine too. All in all, nothing really extra-ordinary about this hotel, but that shouldn't be a problem. It seems that everything they do and offer, they... More

Rijsbergen is not your average hotel. To start with, it's not a hotel, but a 'herberg', or inn. While the service is good, it is not a full-service place, as you cannot have dinner and I never quite worked out what the bar opening times are. None of this matters, as the self-service breakfast is really good, there is an... More

This is a beautiful building that used to belong to the owner of the island (at least, that is what I understood). The current owner is a wonderful lady who made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was surprisingly good, with excellent croissants and wonderful teas. The rooms are not up to the level. One feels like being in summer... More

Once you enter this beautiful old building (1757) it happens: a pleasant feeling of welcome. This is not a hotel, it is a "herberg" (inn). The owner is Els and I have to say she makes your stay worthwhile. The rooms are cozy, small and the beds are single beds. The shower is functional and the whole place is clean... More

We traveled to this Island in February during my stay in Europe. The island at the time was very nice and quiet and the weather, though rainy was decent. For us it was meant to be for a romantic get away and it was. I admit the beds slide apart like someone else mentioned ( happened to us just on... More

The front view of this property looks beautiful, old, characteristic. But the rooms are located in a new part, behind the old house, which looks a lot like a group accommodation building. The beds are meant to be used as single beds. If you're a couple, it's pretty much impossible to lay against each other, because then the mattresses slide... More
