We spent 3 nights. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The room had wood floor and the bathroom was bright and modern. We especially enjoyed the quietness of the hotel. The breakfast was nothing fancy but good for a European hotel. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Odoorn is a beautiful picturesque town surrounded by farms and fields. In the states, an isolated town this size would probably have a convenience store/gas station, and perhaps an IGA. Odoorn looks much more like Carmel by the Sea and the Hotel Lubbelinkhof certainly meets this high standard. The rooms are large, spotless and modern. The service is friendly. The... More

Visited this place in spring and it was our first trip to this part of the country: de province of "Drenthe". Very quit with huge trees and a beaytyful, pictoresque village. In the village three 'brinks', old scuares with grass, trees and cobblestones, formerly a place for the farmers to gather their cattle. Nearby are many megalithic monuments and a... More

We've spent 6 days in this hotel in Odoorn. It was the second time. this time we choose for a so called executive de luxe room. these are located in a separate part of the hotel above the mainentrance. Reception, just like the first time was good, a warm welcome, by the heart..... The room: well kept, spacious, king-size bed.... More

I stayed here for the second time on a business trip. The hotel is modern and clean. nice hardwoode floor in the rooms (no carpet like in most hotels). Good bed. Restaurant is OK, but basic dutch kitchen. Frendly staff.

It was very cold in our room (facing north) when we checked in. The heating was off and we couldn't turn it on. We had wanted to freshen up a bit after our long journey but it was far too cold in the bathroom. Apparently in this season (it was warmish outside this day in May) the heating is only... More

Husband and I stayed one night. First impression of the room was not so good. The room looked spartan with two very uncomfortable looking chairs, no airco (for what promised to be the hottest night of the year) and no coffee/tea. There were also some dead spider bodies on the ceiling. However, the hotel also has some definite plusses. The... More

Very comfortable hotel on a nice location. Spacious room with terrace. The restaurant offers good food in a nice atmosphere. Spacious lounge. Several biking routes cross in the village, so it's easy to have wonderfull tours through the woods. Do not expect nightlife here. It's all quiet.

Odoorn is a very quiet village in the beautiful province of Drente in the Hondsrug region. Excellent for biking but do not expect a bustling entertainment environment, which in fact is not why you visit this region. Lubbelinkhof is the top-hotel in the village. Situated in an old building with new annexes, but with very modern, design-like interiors. The rooms... More
