The apartment hotel Muchetta is located in the idyllic Walser village of Wiesen, on the sunny side of the internationally renowned destination of Davos-Klosters. We belong to the area of Parc Ela - Switzerland's largest natural park - on foot or mountain bike, or to enjoy a round of golfing on one of the nearby courses. During all year guest card holders can take advantage of free transport on local buses as well as the Rhätische Bahn in the entire Davos Klosters destination. And in the winter there are snow proof skiing areas, cross-country tracks as well as spectacular winter hiking trails and toboggan runs for those unforgettable holiday adventures. Muchetta has a children's paradise, which includes a ball pool and Lego corner.

Lets start with a positive point.Communication with the owners of the hotel was really good. Also the lady at the reception was friendly. There was an Aptamil box on the breakfast table. In fact, It looks like a hospital inside. If we would pay not more then 50 chf per night, i would l say it is exactly what you can expect. We paid 330 chf per night. Its really by far too much. Also , be careful, hotel description says its a SPA hotel. Its a joke. THEY DONT HAVE A SWIMMING POOL AT ALL. There is 2x2 meters pool, which is 40 sm deep. even, if your child is 4 years old, its already too boring for him. They say they have a whirlpool. Please!!!!!! Outside the building, in a yard, at the dark corner, which looks like a garbage station there is a rubber small pool, which you can buy online for your garden or balcony. Its a huge disappointment.

Dear Mr. Vilnis, thank you for your stay with us. We feel sorry, that you did not find what you expected. We do have many families, which come every year again, especially during high season. We regularly check the descriptions on all platforms in German, in English, Italian and French in order to inform all guests correctly, which is a very important task for us to do! Could it be, that a description in an other language spoke of a “Spa hotel”? If yes, please send it to us! So we can organize correction immediately! We are fully aware, that this is only a small pool for children, especially when the hotel is fully booked like last week. Thank you for your positive comments, it was a pleasure to have you with us. Kind regards to all of you, Sylvia Bärtschi

I so wanted to give a 5-star review based on the incredibly friendly staff at the Kinderhotel. From we arrived with a motion sick child and the receptionist arranged express laundry service, everyone we met were extraordinarily friendly. The room was clean and had everything we needed, and the playroom was great (it could use a freshen-up, but the kids didn't care). However, the kitchen is not up to par. On our first evening, the starter - a simple tapas plate straight from the fridge - was not served until after the kids had eaten their whole meal, including dessert, and had grown tired of sitting at the table. So my husband and I had to skip 2 out of 4 courses, and didn't get to sit at the table to eat at the same time. The staff apologised, and the (very friendly) waiter was new - but still. And the next evening, I had the worst vegetarian meal I've ever had in a restaurant; boiled potatoes with boiled broccoli, boiled cauliflower and slices of boiled carrot. Nothing else. Oh yes, 3 cherry tomatoes which were, to be fair, delicious. And we chose to skip the 2nd course from the beginning, not to risk waiting for it until the kids had left the table. So I can unfortunately not recommend the all-inclusive 4-course meal option. However, the breakfast is fine, especially the bread is great. In summary: great concept, great staff, good rooms and good breakfast, but poor restaurant.

Dear Franciska, Thank you for your stay with us and your comment. Indeed you stayed with us at the beginning of the season and the staff in the restaurant was quite new and not yet used to deal appropriate with the different needs of families with young children. With the children's menu on the buffet normally the children can eat immediately and in the quantity they like. The play corner in the restaurant allows the children to leave the table and the parents can enjoy their dinner. Should a child be too sleepy to stay in the restaurant and the parents bring it to bed, we - of course - can bring the dessert to the apartment (room service). We apologize for the inconvenience caused and regret that you did not say anything on the spot. We thank you for your stay and with you all the very best, Sylvie Bärtschi

Had a relaxing two night stay at this hotel. Situated on the side of a mountain valley with views over to the adjacent mountains the location has a very peaceful and natural feel. The staff were very hospitable, friendly and talkative and I even noticed that the hotel owner happily picks up guests from the nearby train station. The room we had was quite spacious and very clean and as we were on the ground floor their cat walked in to say hello ! :-) Car parking is easy enough and free of charge, although there is a narrow section on the road up to the parking area. Given that one often finds Switzerland over-priced, we found this hotel to offer reasonable value for money (which is a huge positive if you have read my other reviews in Switzerland). The guest card entitles free train journey to Davos which also added to the value. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others especially if you are travelling by car.

Dear Mr. A n, thank you very much for your stay with us and your nice comment. Our cat "LEO" is very friendly indeed and likes human beings. Of course he is not allowed to enter the rooms. Normally we inform our guests on the ground floor to just be consequent. The surroundings invites to explore nature and the aera of famous DAVOS. Hope to see you soon again. I stayed at the Apart- und Kinderhotel Muchetta and experienced that they asked for payments for a minimum of 5 nights even if you stay for only 1 or 2 nights. Later when coming to the hotel we were informed that they would only charge for the nights we actually stayed at the hotel (2 nights). We were therefore very surprised when we later got the bill from the hotel by e-mail as they had changed this and charged for 5 nights. When contacting the hotel to question this we got a very unfriendly reply and they were not willing to reduce the payment.

Dear Ms «Olava2018» We feel sorry, that you were probably not correctly informed about the conditions and terms of reservations during the world economic forum at our house. We clearly mentioned in the offer, in the confirmation and again in the e-mail of January 10th, 2018, that there is a minimum stay of 5 nights.Without prepayment by credit card we would not have reserved a room for you. Any refunds can be made only, if the room can be resold again and this was not possible with such a short notice. We suggest, that you get in contact with your travel agent or organizer of your trip. He/she should have honestly informed you about the terms. Kind regards, Sylvie Bärtschi, Apart- und Kinderhotel

I stayed at this hotel during the week of the World Economic Forum which I was attending as a delegate. We happened to arrive at the hotel during very heavy snow storms. The hotel is operated by Phillip and Sylvia who made the snow dump into an adventure seeming to enjoy every minute of the experience. I was able to take a public bus most days down to the WEF at Davos Platz and return for a well cooked meal in a pleasant atmosphere. Well trained pleasant staff, wonderful hosting and beautiful views of the mountains all contributed to a great stay.

I am a regular booking.com customer when it comes to hotel booking, but we found this gem via myswitzerland.com. Quickly after we booked on myswitzerland.com, the hotel manager (Sylvia) emailed us regarding a slight confusion about insufficient room occupancy. After I communicated our concern and the problem with booking page, they immediately upgraded us to our complete family size rooms with no costs. All of this happened without a single phone call, just via email communication! Davos Wiesen is a village on the steep hill where only a Postbus (yellow swiss transport bus) covers some limited area. But hotel staff was quick to offer free train station pickup and dropoff. This was incredible considering the fact that we were a big group of 8 with 16 pieces of luggage all along! Soon after reaching, Sylvia (an incredible lady who runs this difficult show of the hotel at such a distant and hilly village) was quick to brief us about hotel facilities, and attractions we could target in a single day in Davos. She took great trouble in explaining to us attraction maps with her annotated markings as guidelines. We followed her advice word to word, and we fill we didn't miss any of Davos Wiesen for the time we were there! We were given 2 rooms that were connected from in-between, just perfect for our big family's togetherness. Wifi wasn't available in the rooms and it is something that they can easily improved upon, but the overall experience isn't deminished just due to this fact as it is accessible at reception. Live attractions webcams are very helpful. As advertised, kids room is open during the evening, and they personally remain present there to do things that can make kids really really happy. The swimming pool is quite good for family entertainment, open during late evenings to relieve from day's exhaustion. If you are staying in Davos area, do give preference to this place, it won't disappoint you for a single moment.

Great Holidays in a perfect Hotel. The owners do anything possible so you and your kids enjoy the stay. We've had a lovely time and the food was yummy ;) Strollers and sledge is provided by the hotel, the wellness area with shallow pool and two saunas was everything we needed. Kinderklub has an indoor playground under the roof and another one downstairs for the small chiltren. The Wifi you can use only in a special area, but that is perfect opportunity for a digital detox. We will come again!

A nice setting on the side of the mountain half an hour from the route through St. Bernadino. Great hotel if you have small kids. Give yourself at least a day in the alps at 1400 m to enjoy and not just pass through. We found the restaurant overpriced... Besides that 👍👍👍👍

Dear Mr. Stephen O. Thank you for your stopover at the Muchetta. To really see the environment and profit from the free cable cars in the destination Davos - Klosters you need a day or two, indeed. We serve a daily 4-course-menu with a vegetarian choice at CHF 35 per adult in the evening. The children can have a menu from the buffet at CHF 15 per child. Both menus are freshly prepared. Our guests can also choose from the à la carte menu. We are looking forward to see you again one day. Maybe on your travel back North? Kind regards, Sylvie Bärtschi, Apart- und Kinderhotel Muchetta

Lovely family-run place with great facilities for kids and excellent multi-lingual childcare. Ski school is particularly well-organized, especially for parents who want to ski too. Rooms are a good size and well-appointed, common area's comfortable. Food is excellent and well prepared, for kids as well as adults. The village is quaint and quiet.
