We stayed at Sumidors for two nights, was originally supposed to be the one night, however the tranquility and beauty of the place made it far too hard to leave. We were greeted with enthusiasm and a glass of local vino, a real treat, seated on the bar terrace overlooking mind-blowing stunning views of the national park, literally nothing but... More

We booked a weekend away to relax and recharge the batteries from a busy work schedule. What a perfect choice, hidden in the beautiful National Park away from the world. Total relaxation with breathtaking views, it was a little early in the season to enjoy the pool but with the sun shinning and a G&T it would be perfect. We... More

Myself and 3 friends booked a long weekend to Sumidors at the end of last month and left feeling like we had spent a week in the splendour of this mountainside retreat. We were met at Sitges station by the ever energetic Eri who took us up the twisty hillside road to this oasis of tranquillity, as soon as we... More

Just come back from a truly relaxing stay at the beautiful Masia Sumidors. It is a charming rustic hotel set in the most amazing location, looking out across a valley that runs down to the sea. Our hosts couldn't have been more warm and welcoming and had great knowledge of the area, which was particularly useful to our trip. We... More

We had been planning a visit family nearby and found Sumidors. We had a very friendly welcome from the new owners, Cat and Erica. This place just oozes character and personality! The walls are scarred with history and the textures and colours throughout give a rich patina to a building that has stood for four centuries. We chose the African... More

We only managed a three night break, because of work commitments, but we felt a million miles away from the daily slog. The hotel building is about 400 years old, set within a National Park and is well loved and is superbly cosy, rather than posh. Cat was waiting for us in arrivals when we landed, in spite of the... I have now visited Hotel Sumidors twice as it is such a great place to get away from it all and relax in comfortable and peaceful surroundings whilst at the same time it is only a short distance from the coast and the lovely town of Sitges and Barcelona is an easy day trip if you are looking for culture/lively... We stayed here for 5 days in early August and didn't want to leave. From the moment we arrived until our reluctant departure, John, Amanda and Naomi treated us as if we were staying at a 5* hotel. Nothing was too much bother to them. We loved our room; it was spotless, comfortable and individual. The views are spectacular, the... More

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful trip through Northern Spain this summer, ending in the environment of Sitges. She visited Hotel Sumidors a couple of times before (while being run by Ian and Neil) and was very curious how the place would look like nowadays, with new owners (since a year or so) John and Amanda. For me it... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights following Sawdays special places as well, but were somewhat disappointed. The room felt somewhat overpriced, as the bathroom was a bit dated and we had a view of a messy backyard. The breakfast is not served until 9 am and on 2 occasions this was 30 minutes late. The environment and the pool... More

Thank you for saying the food was nice. We didn't realize you needed help and we did ask you multiple times if everything was okay. We are a primarily a bed and breakfast that does food in the evening for those guests who do not want to leave the hotel. We are sorry you were unhappy. More
