During my walk on the Camino de Santiago I decided to treat myself, and what a treat this was. Quiet chanting in all the public areas set the tone for this magnificent rehabilitation of an former cloisters by a group local Spanish developers. On the edge of town it provided a wonderful sanctuary with a large room and bath with... More

We have stayed in this hotel twice whilst walking the Camino de Santiago. It's one of the more expensive options, but the building is beautiful and the hotel is right on the camino. The rooms are not overly luxurious, but comfortable and well-equipped. The wi fi worked well.We thought the dining options looked a bit expensive, so we walked back... More

An old monastery converted to a hotel. Although charming and rather luxurious looking from the outside, we didn't really enjoy this place as the rooms were dark and gloomy. The bathroom was modern but the beds and the rooms were very rustic. We ate dinner in the bar area which suited us as the restaurant opened too late. Along the... More

This hotel is an easy 1hr30mins to 2 hour drive from Santander. Friendly welcome, room was a reasonable size, with very comfortable beds. The food, ( dinner and breakfast ) was good - not haute cuisine but well cooked and promptly served. The hotel and room heating were good too, as it was a chilly night. For the price we... More

I absolutely loved this hotel and would happily stay again. I came across it whilst walking the Camino and after weeks of albergues and living rough, decided to give myself a bit of luxury. The hotel was very affordable (especially if you're used to London or big city prices) and there is something quite mystical about it. The staff were... More

stopped here on the way to San Sebastien. Most remarkable was the price, about 50 euros for a clean, comfortable and reasonably well appointed room. It's not the Four Seasons, but perfectly adequate for our purposes. The tour of the chapel and the Monastery was a bonus. I found the staff to be polite and accomodative.

I booked this hotel at the last minute and really enjoyed my stay there. The room was large and airy, and the bathroom very nice. WiFi worked great. I found the menu in the restaurant sparse, but the food was well prepared and tasty. The attached church and cloister made for a nice visit, but as the small town close... More

Great Hotel, set in grounds of and tastefully developed around Monastery. Very tasteful , no expense spared and good value for money considering settings and facilities. Bedrooms generously sized and very tastefully decorated ours was on three levels open plan, Reception, Bar and Restaurant staff excellent but dont expect them all to speak English. On our stay vast majority of... More

We stayed two nights in this marvellous location as a stopover on our camino. I found the Hotel to be lacking in the most important ingredient, hospitality and a lasting impression. Reception were non helpful but were always there to offer help only if you had good spanish communication. I had to resort to the iPhone translation app to request... More

This hotel was fabulous - the decor, the music played in the halls & the fabulous rooms. Staff at the bar & on reception were very nice & friendly. We stayed here as part of our Camino trip along and there were a mix of Camino travellers also here. The tour of the monastery was lovely & it featured lovely... More
