A beautiful hotel overlooking the marina was conceived to ensure guests privacy and blends harmoniously into the landscape. “The Club” facility of Hotel Volcán, catering for adults 16+, offers a privileged “zen” environment for total rest and relaxation with Jacuzzis and pool bar on the sun deck overlooking the sea. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Dining... More

We stayed at the Volcan on two occasions, it is one of the best holiday hotels we have ever visited. Everything about this hotel contributes to a great holiday. The food is extremely good with an amazing and varied choice at both breakfast and evening buffet, there is also a very good Japanese restaurant attached to the hotel. The poolside... More

From the moment we entered the Hotel Volcan, we felt we had discovered a special place. It was quiet, spacious, unique and unbelievably quiet. We stayed seven nights and enjoyed every minute: our room, the fabulous views and landscaping, the walks around the site…so many pools to choose from…access to the Marina Rubicon, the beaches and the general laid back... I stayed at this hotel towards the end of March and loved it. The location is perfect and we had a lovely large room and balcony with a terrific view. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. You can access the Marina via the back entrance to the hotel and therefore do not have far to go to... More

We stayed at the Volcan a couple of weeks ago the room and facilities were excellent. We didn't eat in the hotel as restaurants and bars were right on the doorstep, however I couldn't fault breakfast or the service. The only disappointment was the balcony which was unusable it was like being in a cave with just a shaft of... More

We had a week at the Volcan at the start of March and found the hotel virtually faultless. Everywhere was immaculately clean and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The food was very good with a choice at the buffet breakfast of just about any and everything you could possibly wish to eat - our only complaint being that... More

I am not keen on hotel holidays preferring self catering, however I may be changing my mind! This hotel cared about your comfort, the beds were rather hard for me so they provided a mattress topper promptly and it was heaven! Our room was lovely, spacious and spotless with a tiny balcony. Lots of sun beds around the pools, and... More

Having just returned from a week long stay in April 2014 I can highly recommend this hotel for a number of reasons... First it's a very unusual design. Not the usual angular lump but lots of little spaces where you can find your own peace and quiet. I thought the food was excellent both for breakfast and evening buffet too.... More

This was our first trip to Lanzarote and the hotel had been booked for us by our local travel agent. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. A special mention to Billy and Nick who greeted us most mornings at the entrance to the restaurant . They were always cheerful and professional and went out... More

This was our 3rd visit to the Volcan. It is ideally situated close to bars and the marina but is an oasis of calm. Couldn't wish for better breakfast - even Bloody Mary if you wanted it! No drop in standards from the Gran Melia brand who ran it previously.

Hotel Class:5 star — Hotel Volcan Lanzarote 5*
Official Description (provided by the hotel):
This luxury five star hotel, the Hotel Volcán Lanzarote, has a prime location on the seafront and together with the “Marina Rubicón” yachting harbour it constitutes a tourist resort in the southern part of the island - an area that forms part of the UNESCO’s “World Network of Biosphere Reserves”. The hotel is located just 10 km from the Timanfaya National Park, 900 metres from the picturesque fishing village of Playa Blanca, where you will find shopping centres, bars and restaurants, and just 30 minutes from the International Airport of Arrecife. Andrés Piñeiro, the chief architect of the project, chose a design based on a complex of classical buildings that are a true reflection of the typical architectural style of the island. The design of the hotel is reminiscent of a typical village of Lanzarote, with romantic patios, traditional courtyards and secluded spots, together with the magnificent hotel entrance which is a replica of the Teguise church of “Ntra. Sra. de Guadalupe”. With its unique architecture and the distinguished service of a luxury hotel, the Hotel Volcán Lanzarote is an icon within the high end segment of the tourism sector. ... more   less
