Lovely hotel. Staff friendly and very helpful. Well worth paying to stay in the club volcan. Easy stroll to Playa Blanca. Lots of lovely restaurants at the Marina. If hiring a car visit El Golfo and have a meal at Largo Verde. Great fresh fish and brilliant service. More

An extremely comfortable hotel in a delightfully quiet location on Marina Rubicon, it was great value for money. The design of the hotel is intriguing - a reception area designed to replicate a volcano but with a 3-storey waterfall within it is an immpressive starting point. The bedrooms in small groups across the site made for peaceful nights. To make... More

This hotel is excellent value for money and is a very good quality hotel overall in a fantastic location - a thirty second walk to the Rubicon Marina. We stayed here in October 2011 and had a lovely time - mostly spent by the pool - which is ideal for young children as the edges of the pool are graduated... More

Stayed in the Volcan for a week in October 2011. Check in was slow and when it was finally complete it was another wait to find a porter to help with my lugage. The rooms are split into various blocks on various levels. Mine was on the third floor ovrlooking the top pool. The room itself was very nice, a... More

We have stayed at the Volcan three times now which I guess is a recommendation in itself. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious with a huge bed. All the usual facilities are available in the room, coffee machine, fridge, tv. I have seen in other reviews that the rooms are in need... More

The Hotel Volcan is really quite amazing place. It is beautifully laid out, like a typical white Canarian-style village over different levels. The pool areas and gardens are stunning and really well kept. The whole place has very peaceful laid-back vibe. My room was spacious, with living area..ie, sofa and chairs and table, and lovely balcony overlooking main pool and... More

Can't really add much to the better reviews - BigLighty (12/01/2012) and Melanieblossom (06/01/2012) have said just about everything that I would want to say! We had a Sea View room, with views over the Marina to the town, for the first week of January, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Perhaps not a top notch 5*, but we will certainly... More

I stayed here with my wife and my parents for a week in November. The entrance to the hotel is very impressive. You enter through an old church with candles and chanting music, very atmospheric, and then emerge into the interior of the "Volcano" which has a waterfall going down about 3 stories to the bar and entertainment area below....
