I've spent part of my childhood holidays in hotel camelo back in the 90s so returning there was like a real time travel.. Too bad I didn't find Mr Jorge Camelo the ex owner of the Hotel. The hotel is located near Serra da Estrela (where you can find snow during winter and other times of the year) in a... More

This was a one night stop hotel, its a shame we weren't here longer. This hotel has plenty to do, with a gym, games room and a pool. The rooms are great, having three big comfy beds in each. Due to the weather being poor we chose not to venture into the pool, but did try the restaurant. There was... More

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The good things are the: - Very affordable rooms rates (40-45 euros/night) - Breakfast buffet - Pretty outside garden - Proximity to hiking trails in Serra da Estrela The downside is that the hotel is pretty old and that the location is fairly remote. For vegetarians, it can be quite challenging to find... More

It's a small town, Seia is, nevertheless the views to "Serra da Estrela"," Mountain Star" were beautiful . Camelo Hotel staff were very welcoming, and especially the restaurant waiters made us feel like family. Will go back this year again for sure!!!

My wife and I have used this hotel for the past 20 years and have always loved it, we were a little worried when Sr. Camelo sold to a group that it would loose its homely and special feeling. We need not have worried because it has kept that really nice feeling. From the help and welcome at reception to... More

The staff was friendly and they took us to a perfect room: comfortable, modern and well equipped for cold and warm. The bathroom was really nice, comfortable bed and the breakfast was delicious and with great variety. I highly recommend this place if you are in couples. Seia is a beautiful and romantic city and with some luck it snows... More

The hotel certainly worth the money, especially in low season. Wonderfull view from most of the rooms, as the hotel resides on hill slope. It is located right in the center of the city. The staff is friendly, hall is decorated with old stuff for winemaking. There is a restaurant, but we tried breafast only, hich was good.

Is a nice hotel, considering that was built by Jorge Camelo, the previous owner. You can find pleasant decoration and quite places and living rooms. Is located at the base of the mountain what makes easy to go to Serra da Estrela places and towns and never get caught in the road by heavy snow. I would give one more... More

It has a great quality-price ratio. The rooms are not the best rooms ever, but they are quite cosy and clean. The swimming-pool area is very pleasant and there is also a fitness room (which I haven't tried). The breakfast is quite simple but it is rather good and it serves the purpose. Also, the hotel is right in the... More

We stayed here 28th June 2012 for 7 nights as we was watching the football tournament "seia cup". Hotel was a bit of a way from lisbon airport so actually couldnt wait to arrive at hotel. If you have walking difficuties hotel not ideal as build on a slope. Breakfast was served at the bottom of a staircase in the... More
