This is a nice and cosy hotel. It needs some renovation but generally is well decorated, nice hotel spacious rooms. the worst is the staff that could be more happy and nice to the guests. It has a nice restaurante with prices around 25 euros per person including wine.

Disappointed as soon as we walk in to the reception. Wish she have at least greeted us and hang up her phone. Requested a room for me and my husband when i make reservation, but have room with two single bed was told that they do not have other rooms when the hotel was almost empty. Almost nothing else to... The room was spatious and comfortable and we had a very enjoyable stay. The bar is very nice and ideal for a drink in the evening with stunning view over the valley. The ideal place to getaway and rest.

still on the rally from London to Lisbon this was a very interesting place to stay. The hotel is a little jaded now, needs to be upgraded - but that really only added to the charm. The car museum opposite was truly wonderful as was the art gallery and if you are visiting these are a must

Caramulo is a great place to go for a couple of days: enjoy the mountain views, fresh air and quietness. The museum, across the road, is well worth a visit, especially for thr automobile and toy collection. Your little ones will enjoy that, as well as the old style tin toys in the museum shop :) Hotel facilities are fair,... More

This hotel in Caramulo is fairly close to my hometown so, if it were not for a business meeting held the hotel, I would most likely just take the short drive and stay at home. In general the hotel is cozy and I can imagine that during the cold winter days, reading a book by the fireplace or just relaxing... More

I stayed in this Hotel a few times, on short family breaks. This Hotel is located in Caramulo, a village founded shortly after the 1st World War to host sanatoriums for tuberculosis and other respiratory diseases. A few decades later medical advances made these sanatoriums obsolete, and Caramulo was successfully transformed into a touristic mountain village. The whole village preserves... More

we noticed that it was a high standard hotel some years ago but some areas need some attention now. We stayed in a room with view to the museum not to the mountain wich is amazing. We have that view on the outside pool and it is breathless.the interior pool is also good and we also loved the sauna and... More

Caramulo is an interesting mountain hamlet, located in a remote part of central Portugal, and I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel do Caramulo there. My room was large and reasonably well appointed. I had only a single bed and, as is often the case in Portugal, I'm not sure if the hotel has any double beds, let alone queens... More

This renovated hotel in the heart of the Serra do Caramulo is the perfect place if you're looking to chill out. The rooms have a good size, they're very clean, there's a spacious bathroom and the views are very nice. It's located right in front of Museu do Caramulo, which is a must visit for all car buffs. The hotel's... More
