Wonderful Hotel, very secluded in a super botanical garden. Very nice beach - big, clean and comfortable rooms. Room service, good restaurants, but pricy. Breakfast is rather poor for such a place Very polite and helpful staff. more

I stayed here for two nights in August. I thought everything was excellent from the room, to the pool(s), to the excellent restuarants. The service and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The general manager on three different occasions approached and asked if everything was okay. On one night, there was a jazz band on the private beach with a... more

My partner and I stayed at Vilalara for a well earned break. When we arrived the place stood out as the best hotel we had seen (we were on a taxi with mulitple drop offs) We were taken to our room via golf buggy and shown the resort, it was gorgeous full of colour and it wasn't busy. When we... more

My girlfriend and I have just returned from 10 days there, Jun/July 08. Postives first, the hotel is in a great location the view is superb and as many other people have noted breakfast is fantastic. The hotel arranged transport to and from airport (Faro) and a cost that was cheaper than Expedia. Stayed in a Garden view suite which... more

My best friend and I booked into this resort in early June for a week of doing nothing and that's exactly what this hotel allowed us to do. The rooms - we stayed in room number 9103 a Deluxe Junior Suite and it was perfect (except for the air-conditioning which wasn't too good so the room was a bit too... more

We spent a week at the hotel at the beginning of May. It's a really outstanding hotel, difficult to know where to start. Maybe first the situation and architecture - it blends into the terraced cliff landscape and the buildings are all discrete, so much so that you don't realize they're there - in contrast to the typical concrete bunkers... more

It is a fantastic place to relax, the rooms are large, well equiped - we were placed in a junior suite - and the only noise your hear are birds singing day and night. The breakfast is ok, it has all what you can expect from a first class hotel but is not terrific. I can recommend fish meals, soups.... more

This was our first trip to Algarve. We found the hotel to be a perfect paradise. We stayed in the deluxe garden suite. We are pure vegetarians and the head chef Rene Sandoval kindly prepared lunch and dinner menus for us for our stay - a truly memorable gastronomic experience. One of the best vegetarian meals we've had. The staff... more

My mum and I stayed here for a 3 night Spa break in March 2006 and loved it! The hotel is very tranquil, in a secluded location which means you pretty much stay on site for the time you're there unless you hire a car. The beach is private and exclusive to Vilalara and is lovely at any time of... more
