Our experience at La Foresteria Serego Aligheri was just amazing, and we regret that we only had time to stay 2 nights here. The property is part of a working vineyard, and has a really interesting history (it is owned by the descendents of Dante Aligheri). We booked this property as we decided we’d like to visit a vineyard in... More

This is a marvellous place to experience valpolicella wines. If possible go there during harvest time last weeks in september! Accomodation spacious and excellent. Great hospitality. Great region near Garda lake and Verona.

My wife, 4 year old daughter and I stayed at the La Foresteria and had a wonderful time. The estate itself was founded in 1353 and the 20th generation of the family still lives on the property. Our room was a very nice room with a small kitchen, dinnette area, 2 full bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. It overlooked the courtyard... More

I've been to Italy several times, but this was summum. The location is amazing. You stay in a nice apartment with hotel facilities. La foresteria gives you immediately a sort of quietness. Claudio was very helpful and showed us the finest restaurants in the neighborhood (La Divina was excellent). It's the perfect location between Verona & Garda!

Perfect place to stay with kids. The grounds are beautiful, breakfast is very good out in the garden, the apartments are lovely and the location perfect for visiting Valpolicella. They have a wine tasting room for their wines (Masi and Serego Alighieri) and can organise a tour of the winery. There are many excellent restaurant nearby they give you a... More

My boyfriend and I went here for a romantic getaway during our stay in Italy. We had the most perfect stay, from entrance to depart. Martha gave us a warm welcome, showed us the beautiful room/apartment in which had everything we could need and then some. Complimentary minibar in the fridge, which also contained a large bottle of their own... More

I cannot tell you how wonderful our time at La Foresteria truly was. From the first moment of arrival through the gracious kindness of everyone there, to the astonishing meals and breathtaking wines, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We've been to Italy several times, and never had we had so perfect a time. The smells in the... More

I believe it is appropriate to "borrow" the 12th-century tale of a German bishop traveling to the Vatican for a meeting with the Pope to title this review. Accordingly to the tale the bishop sent a prelate ahead of him to survey the villages along the route for the best wines, and when he found the best wine producer instead... More

La Foresteria at the Serego Alighieri winery is a terrific place to stay and enjoy the Valpolicella region. Needless to say the wines are sensational and the tasting with the Amarone and Recioto is truly great, but the rooms/apartments are beautiful, comfortable and a great way to stay near Verona and go explore the city and perhaps catch some opera... The son of Dante bought this estate in the 15th Century and his descendants still live there and produce their excellent wines. We spent five beautiful days there and could hardly bear to leave. The apartments are located in restored estate buildings around a central courtyard. They are comfortable and atmospheric and we started to relax as soon as we... More
