A very lovely location, beautiful and peaceful, BUT, we had hoped to experience drinks on the Loggia looking at the sunset and wandering around the gardens, neither of these possible as the main villa was booked exclusively so all area's were out of bounds, Although it also advertises a beautiful spa, the website does not let you know that it... This villa was supposed to be the highlight of our 3 week trip to Italy but it proved to be disappointing from our arrival. After having to wait 20 minutes to check in as lots of Wedding party guests were checking out and no staff welcoming us, we were told that we received an 'upgrade' (which I am sure is... More

I spent 4 days at this magnificent villa during a visit to Tuscany and Florence last year. I wanted to stay here in the Tuscan countryside before plunging into the city, and that turned out to be a good plan. The historical and architectural significance of the property is impressive. Further, the estate itself is surrounded by it's own vineyards... More

Our daughter and her future husband planned their entire wedding with our blessing…..they live in NYC and we live in California. Not knowing what we were really going to experience, we entrusted the decision making to them…..Villa Mangiacane was a dream come true. We had approximately 80 guests that stayed at the villa for a 3 day stay and there... More

We spent 7 days here as a center for touring Tuscany. It is a beautiful villa and a good place to spend downtime on a busy Chianti schedule. We stayed in one of the upstairs two-level suites in the main house and the views from our room were stunning. The service was also quite good. Highly recommend this place even... More

Once again we came back to Mangiacane for a wedding of our friends. As usual we were met with excellent service, offered tasty Mangiacane wines and nice Italian food. Good service, breath taken views and antique interiors - only best for intelligent travelers.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to spend a week at Villa Mangiacane in the Villa Machiavelli with friends. We had the entire Villa Machiavelli to ourselves! First and foremost, Villa Mangiacane is located in the Tuscan hills overlooking Florence. The country setting surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, olive trees, a variety of flowering plants, tranquil pools and song... More

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon after being recommended by a friend. I upgraded our room to include a plunge pool and we were very excited about what was to be a real highlight of our 3 week European adventure. LOVED it here, we came for our honeymoon & stayed in the honeymoon suite. We were greeted right away & given a tour of the grounds.
