We have enjoyed a wonderful week in the begining of May 2015 in the apartment Olive and it was an unforgettable vacation. Our choice was based on an extensive research, because we were looking for a small, quiet and natural place, without swiming pool and too many tourists around. Podere dell Orto is a special place and exceeded our expectations... More

This is by far one of the more charming places we have ever stayed while in Italy. The two bedroom apartment is suitable for either two couples or a couple with children. It is beautifully appointed with period furniture suitable to the architecture. The kitchen is well equipt with everything you need, and the hosts, Simona and Roberto, are warm,... More

We (2 couple) had four nights at Simona and Roberto's lovely self-catered agriturismo 2 km from San Casciano. We could have happily settled here. Lovely apartment, 2 bedrooms, a kitchen-lounge, bathroom - beautifully decorated. Great country views, could even see Il Duomo at Florence. We were battlefield-touring towns and villages liberated by NZ Division in 1944, so very convenient. San... More

We ( two couples) had a wonderful 4 days staying on this olive/grape farm. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful, even giving us bus tickets to get into Florence. Home grown olive oil and wine was available, and fresh herbs and eggs. We could drive around the nearby countryside and villages very easily, and the supermarket a few km's... More

Simona and Roberto are by far the nicest italians we know! They helped us a lot planning our day trips in Tuscany. They have a beautiful appartment with an amazing view. We even got a basket of tomatos and basil from their garden. Thank you very much!

If you're looking for a well priced, quiet, romantic, yet convenient holiday in Tuscany with the best hosts in the universe, look no further! Ok where to start.... It was our homeymoon so we were quite picky and did a lot of research, mainly on trip-advisor in regards to our accomodation, and the reviews, location and pictures eventually convinced us... More

My husband and I stayed at Podere Dell'Orto on the recommendation of friends. We hired a car in Florence and drove to San Casciano. Simona met us on arrival and escorted us the rest of the way to their farm house. We had intended to spend the next few days driving around the beautiful Tuscan countryside, but on awakening the... After spending the most of a week travelling around the Northern Tuscany, we ended our honeymoon at Podere Dell'Orto... When we arrived at the house Simona came towards us with two eggs, just picked up at the hen house - these and a few more became our evening omelette ;o) The hospitality of both Simona and Roberto was enormous -... We recommend Podere Dell'Orto as the perfect place to stay whilst site seeing around Tuscany. The owners, Simone and Roberto provided excellent hospitality, giving spot on directions with maps of all the nearby towns including Florence, Siena and San Gimingiano. The apartment was super, we could relax after a busy day and had the opportunity to self cater. The local... More
