Charming hotel, spotlessly clean, and well situated for visitng Pisa and Florence by car. The proprietor Chiara is an endless source of information and does everything to make your stay memorable. Montecarlo makes a lovely base for exploring in Lucca, Firenze, Pisa and other scenic areas in Tuscany, and Antica Casa dei Rassicurati is a comfortable place to stay. We used Montecarlo as a base for day trips visiting Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano, Volterra. We wanted to stay in a quiet town, with restaurant and wine options without driving at night.
