Antica dei Rassicurati has its own charm and is definitely worth the modest price. Our room was very small but adequate, just not where we'd have wanted to relax and hang out for long. It was very clean. The breakfast was minimal. When we told the owners/managers on arrival of a change in itinerary that would involve cancelling our 3rd... More

We didn't know what to expect as we booked this B&B without much though so we were pleasantly surprised when we were greeted by some of the loveliest people we met in Italy. Although the accommodation wasn't luxurious it was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed (including super fast wifi). Our hosts local recommendations were amazing including restaurants... More

We recently took a 2 week trip through several areas of Italy and the highlight of our trip was Tuscany and, especially, our 5 night stay at this LOVELY B&B! Debora and Gabriele were incredibly gracious hosts, who provided much interesting information about the local sights (Pinocchio's tree!), restaurants and nearby historical cities! And the breakfasts were very good in... More

We are still here in this charming bed and breakfast run by two of the kindest hosts Ive ever experienced. In addition to its perfect location (near Lucca, Chianti, and Florence), the inn is comfortable and the hosts are exceptionally gracious. Breakfast is a fantastic way to start our day and we have fallen in love with this area of... More

Gabriel and Debora were extremely helpful answering all of our questions and giving suggestions. We rented a car and were able to visit the highlights of Tuscany during our 7 day stay. The rooms are small, the breakfasts more than adequate and the charm and character of the B&B were excellent. Train connection to Florence was easy avoiding the need... More

A small and informal but very romantic little hotel. The atmosphere in the hotel and the village - combined with the hospilaty from the hosts Debora and Gabriel makes this the perfect base for your trip to the nothern part of Tuscany. Lucca, Pisa, Florence and even Cinque Terre are all within a reasonable distance.

My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Italy during which one place we stayed was Antica Casa dei Rassicurati in Montecarlo, Italy. This delightful B & B is run by Gabriel and Debora - and they do a great job. The Inn is ideally located between Lucca and Florence in an old walled medieval village. There are... More

Chiara, the owner, is the perfect hostess, always ready with information but never obtruding. In particular she knows which restaurants and wine-bars in the tiny town of Montecarlo are open on which nights. Highlight of the otherwise varied breakfast was homemade fig jam and honey from her relatives in the mountains of the Garfagnana to the north.

Charming hotel, spotlessly clean, and well situated for visitng Pisa and Florence by car. The proprietor Chiara is an endless source of information and does everything to make your stay memorable. The breakfasts are wonderful served with a friendly smile. Not all rooms are en suite so specify on reservation. Montecarlo is small and pretty and there is at least... More

Montecarlo makes a lovely base for exploring in Lucca, Firenze, Pisa and other scenic areas in Tuscany, and Antica Casa dei Rassicurati is a comfortable place to stay. The breakfast features homemade cakes and jam. We came in early April, when the mornings still had a bit of chill, and we enjoyed the ambiance and warmth of a glowing wood... More
