Awesome location. Walkable to Spanish steps, Trevi, Villa Borghese, Coliseum, Forum, etc. Rooms are very small but sufficient and clean. Walk to dinner on Via Veneto. Go for a run in Borghese. WiFi did not work even in lobby. Evening staff seemed upset when we had questions

We stayed at this Agriturismo when attending a wedding at the Borgo San Pietro a few minutes away.First impressions were not too good because the rooms were quite dark with small windows and dark furniture, fairly basic but clean. The place grew on us and we enjoyed our stay.Lovely rustic setting with a small river running by. The hosts were very... More

My partner and I stayed here for a several nights. It's hidden away in the quiet beautiful Tuscan countryside with a water stream running near by. We found the owner very helpful, the rooms very comfortable and clean and had a lovely nights sleep in the middle of rustic Tuscany. We also loved the friendly little dog who would always... More

My partner and I stayed here for 1 night at the start of April and what a wonderful little gem! Set in the middle of nowhere with lots of character, it was the perfect place to rest our heads during our Italy trip. I would highly recommend.

il mulino is located really beautyfully. just the location is worth a visit. we really enjoyed our stay here and got a lot of helpful tips from Aogosto (the owner/the host) about where to head next after il mulino. there is no a/c in the rooms but it actually gets colder in the nights and it was quite alright sleeping... So beatifully laid out in the country side, with real Italian food. Made to rest the whole afternoon like many Italian tend to do it brings a good selection of wine and local drinks as well. We surely go back there, if not only because of the nice surroundings

The location is beautiful but unfortunately this is where the positives stop. As per the previous reviews the food and service let it down badly plus the noise! The room are poorly insulated so you hear every foot step, every door opening and closing - resulting in a very poor nights sleep.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Mulino delle Pile was built in the early 13th century by the monks of the neighbouring Serene abbey, ensuring the people of Chiusdino, in addition to a place in which to mill their grain, somewhere to stiffen linen for sale in distant market. This activity was performed well into the 15th century. The original architecture of the mill has been restored and it now offers a warm, elegant welcome to guests, who can gather in small spaces in the old, elegantly refurnished tower, or in the lounge in which they can converse by the fireplace, just like in the old days. The Mill is a farm with only 8 family rooms, a large treed park by the river, nice area for trekking and biking, not far from Siena, Firenze, and the sea. Also included: daily cleaning of the room and an equipped kitchen.Enjoy our sport facilities: swimming pool, table tennis, green volley, mountain bikes. Our restaurant offers a typical homemade Tuscan cuisine. ... more   less
