We had difficulty in finding this wonderful property even with the GPS! Our room was outstanding to say the least. Quiet, Peaceful, Romantic, Secluded, this place has it all. Views of Sienna are spectacular.Hard to find, but once you do, it is a little piece of heaven.

Lungo la via del Chianti, in un’antica villa del 1500 resa sapientemente unica, ha sede La Perla di Sestano Luxury Resort, la struttura si trova nel comune di Castelnuovo Berardenga, nel cuore del Chianti Senese. La località di Sestano è documentata come villaggio fin dal 867 d.c. L’epoca di edificazione della villa non è certa, presumibilmente essa nasce come casale nella seconda metà del XV sec e precede la Ragnaia di impianto del cinquecento, già nel 1676 il podere di Sestano era iscritto agli eredi di Armenio Petrucci. La trasformazione dell’edificio attuale, risale alla prima metà del 700 e a questo periodo è riconducibile l’organizzazione degli spazi in forma unitaria e la sistemazione della corte interna. In un disegno del pittore Romagnoli, risalente al 1830, la Villa di Sestano è rappresentata in una forma simile all’attuale.
