Citta del Mare is beautifully located and has the potential to be a really nice family resort. We have been 2 times this year as we have family living in the area. Unfortunately the nearby plants from Palermo dump a considerable amount of detritus every morning in the water. It's SHAMEFUL and we wish the management would act to stop... More

We spent one night at the Citta del Mare to be near the airport. This is a huge complex, which means carrying your luggage from the parking area to your room. It also means that you have breakfast, lunch and dinner together with hundreds of others. We were there together with a group of elderly Check yoga disciples, a Danish... More

Tragic place in the middle of no where. The staff seems to come from previos jobs such ss prispn guards. Service no. Maintenance of building no. Speak english no. Good breakfast no. Avoid this. It was needed four people to check us in and they wanted to charge double price compared to booking price in Agoda.

We were lucky as we still had nice sunny weather late September. Rooms needs a bit of a refurbishment as it looks a bit run down but the facilities were simply amazing. Restaurant looks more like a food hall but I guess it's a busy place. Have taken some very nice souvenir photos, photographers are nice and no one is... More

We recently stayed at this resort and found both many positives and negatives. We waited almost an hour and a half to check in and the receptionist wasn't that welcoming. The rooms were noisy and the mattresses were awful. We also had bugs in the room. The housekeeping service barged in the room while we were sleeping, no knocking or... More

As a large family with kids we enjoyed our time here. Once you adapt to the hours that the hotel runs at (everything shuts down for lunch from Noon until 3pm due to the heat and it is hard to get food if you miss the restaurant opening hours) it becomes an enjoyable experience. I think too many uptight Brits... More

My stay in the hotel was good and pleasant. Not something special but very good middle level of comfort and pleasure. "Citta del Mare" means "Town on the sea". And this is completely true. The hotel occupies big territory far from other towns on the island and it is located on a rocky seashore. But I see serious disadvantages in... More

This hotel could be great but.... its not! Located right on the coast with spectacular views and access to the sea it really disappoints. If you are looking for a nice place to stay go elsewhere - if on the other hand you are a teenager and prepared to slum it for a while I am sure it is a... More

This place was pretty cool. I didn't realize it was here on the island, but I had seen it in magazines and online before. It was awesome to slide into the ocean from the top pool. The rooms are small and plain, but it was ok, because we didn't spend much time in them. There are three pools total (including... More

My boyfriend and I booked a night at this hotel solely for the water slides. They were....okay. A bit tame, and the slide into the sea was shut. Apart from that...just okay. The Olympic size pool was good, clean, and enough deck chairs around the pool for the scant few guests that were there. They are the only positive things... More
