Had a nice short 4 days holiday at Vila Romana with my family in July. It is not a modern hotel, but it is fine. The swimming pool and tanning beads are great, it was lovely to wake up to a sunny swim every morning. Breakfast was fine, big assortment good enough quality. While Porto Empodocle isn't quite the looker... More

Whilst visting family in Sicily my partner and I wanted a few days away to ourselves. Lovely hotel, staff extremely friendly and accomodating. Pool fantastic, clean. Beach directly outside the front of the hotel, a little disappointing, (hence only a "very good" rating for the review), due to large rocks, slippery and sharp but a 5 minute stroll, beautiful sand... Our group stayed there for one night in October and was badly disappointed. Unfriendly staff, food – nothing to recommend about, small rooms, broken furniture and missing lamp. Although rooms have nice view to the see and hotel has lots of parking places, better look to sleep in another hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and there were many good features in it; ample free parking, a lovely swimming pool, very nice bedroom and bathroom facilities (with nice toiletries). However, we had lunch at the poolside bar one of the days and found it very expensive overall (wasn't really expecting a cover charge when we are already... More

We stayed four nights in a superior room. Great location for valley of the temples and the Turkish steps. Breakfast was really good with ham, cheese, boiled eggs, pastries, croissants, yoghurts and fruit. Pool was really good with plenty of sunbeds always available.

We stayed here two nights. Very nice all around. Good pool and good restaurant. Nice breakfast which is included in room rate. The beach is steps away but we preferred the pool frankly. Ample free parking too Would recommend staying here.

Lovely place for family. Villa Romana is very close to the sea and has a good swimming pool. Great dinner at the hotel restaurant. The room was quite and very clean with working television. Great breakfast!

Warmly greeted at reception. People saying hard to find, I must have a good navigator in my Mrs then. Its on the coast road. The rear of the hotel is actually on the dual carriageway as you enter Porto Empedocle travelling east the next turning right pass the hotel will take you to the sea front, right again is the... A good stop in the Agrigento area. If you are going to the Valley of the Temples, stay at one of the beach resorts rather than in Agrigento itself. It is more relaxing and a change of pace and good for the kids too. The rooms are quaint, but do not have traditional showers. The restaurant has a limited selection... More

TomTom in our rental could not find no.1 so we ended in a dead end beach path... As friendly as all people we met in the area, a police car escorted us to the entrance. The hotel itself has everything you expect from a 4* plus their own beach with chairs and umbrellas next to the swimming pool. Staff was... More
