We have just got back from staying at Santa Caterina Hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this modern but rustic, cosy, family run little gem of a hotel. We stayed for 14 nights in a very clean comfortable room, with a flat screen TV to catch up on the news, and doors which opened onto a garden where there... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here at santa caterina hotel for 6 nights location not that great for attractions but you can for sure get trains to attractions around the island. With regular trains running through the day you can ask for information at the hotel. Hotel staff were incredibly helpful along with helping us out with destinations to go.... More

The hotel is excellently located if you are travelling with a car but quite far (15 minutes) to walk to the center... and by the way... the street to the center is all up hill and the pavement is next to nonexistent making it quite dangerous to walk in the street especially if you are with young children. The WIFI... More

We stayed at the Santa Caterina for 10 nights after reviewing the previous comments on tripadvisor. We were so glad that we did, because we couldn't fault the staff and their helpfulness even if they didn't have a great understanding of English. The room was almost perfect and more than suitable for our stay. We would like to return to... More

We planned to stay at the Santa Caterina during our holiday on Sicily. Unfortunatelly our other arrangements did not allow us to enjoy their caretaking. But while organizing our trip we experienced outstanding service to plan our trip. Thank you Valeria!

I stayed at the Hotel Santa Caterina in Acireale for 5 days in May with a group of 26 people. I booked last January and the staff couldn't have done enough for me and the group. Valeria and Daniela were wonderful- efficient, organised and most of all extremely pleasant at all times. They looked after any bookings and requests and... More

Booked this hotel at the last minute when we decided to leave our tour group and strike out on our own. I agree with the reviews about the poor location of this hotel. First, the hotel is hard to find. It's perched on a hill that has beautiful views, yes. But, and this is a big deal if you don't... More

Dear Dianne, Thank you very much for your kind and detailed review. We may partially agree with your complains: our hotel is located in a particular position that gives our Guests the possibility to discover all the beauties of the Eastern Sicilian Coast and renting a car is probably advised. Just one clarification about the room size: the room you... More

Quite awful experience at this hotel: - bathrooms were dirty and filthy with black mold in the tub and corners - curtains dirty and room was dusty (under bed / table) and dirty pillows - pool is right next to the train tracks, so any relaxation would be ruined every 15 minutes - all staff members except one were very... Was expecting this hotel to be far nearer the sea, it had beautiful views from the restaurant but the sea was inaccessible without a car. Also it sits in a slither of land between a railway line and a main road. The food was super however we ate both breakfast and evening meal here. The local town of Acireale is... More
