My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Il Limoneto during our holiday in Sicily. We chose the property due to its great location (very central if wanting to visit Acireale, Aci Castello, Catania, Taormina) and thanks to its great reviews. I must say the property didn't disappoint. Rustic furnishing but clean and well looked after. If only they provided... More

We stayed 3 days at Il Limonetto. We enjoyed a last-minute offer and got the apartment for the price of the room! It was very clean and with a lot of facilities (barbecue for example). We were seduced by the beauty of the site, in the middle of a lemontree plantation, with a view on the sea and on the... More

My partner and I had an amazing week at Fabrizzio's family farm. The posted photos lured us there and didn't disappoint. The accommodations were authentically charming and the views of the Ionian Sea were stunning. We were honored with a full moon on a warm night, with the scent of lemons--ooolala! Fabrizzio is a gracious and helpful host who made... More

We spent four nights at this lovely Agriturismo, set in the middle of a lemon orchard at the foot of the Etna. Fabrizzio is dedicated to his guests' well being. As my husband had a health problem, he drove us to the pronto soccorso at the hospital and when we phoned him five hours later, he came to fetch us back.We... We loved this place, with its cosy apartment surrounded by the most beautiful lemon grove. Beautiful views on the sea and the Etna... and the 2000 organic lemon trees of course. The division wall between our and the next apartment was on the thin side, we could hear our neighbours talking, but it was OK. The hosts were most gracious... More

We've just returned from our fourth visit to Il Limoneto. We spent 3 weeks at the farm, mostly relaxing and enjoying the calm tranquility it offers. We ventured out to Taormina, Caltigirone, Modica and Siracusa -- all easy jaunts -- but mostly spent time lounging, reading and enjoying the Lapi family. I can only reiterate what other reviewers have said,... More

This place is a paradise. I could offer this accomodaton who likes fantastic panorama, beautiful gardens, calm enviroment and nice, helpful people. If you have a car, you can reach every good place on the east coast from here like Taormina, the Etna, Catania, Syracusa, Alcantare river, etc, but I think you really need a veichle for this place. The... More

We stayed 4 days in Il Iimoneto and were very pleased by the setting: beautiful view on the see and the Etna. It is also very convenientely located to visit the east coast: Syracusa, Taormina... The appartments are simple with only the basics, it is fine if you stay one day but for more you will need a trip to... More

We've stayed in Il Limoneto for a week, end of March 2012. It was most relaxing and peaceful. I wanted to get away from stresses of London, and after a week I've felt totally rested. The farm has beautiful vews of Mount Etna and the sea. The lemon grove is just amasing. The owner Fabrizio is an exeptional host, very... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Il Limoneto is a traditional farmhouse right in the heart of the Ionian coast, commonly known as the “Riviera dei Limoni”.It expands for over more than 4 hectares and is surrounded by a flourishing green terraced lemon orchard. From here you can admire the wonderful landscape and take a glimpse at its rare beauty, from Etna to the Ionian Sea and the rich nature reserve called “La Timpa” an area of natural beauty and dipped in a splendid garden of lemons and typical flowers of the Mediterranean.Today, after six generations, our family continue to produce “organic” lemons alongside with the Farmhouse activity. Accomodation is offered in the ancient manor house, cottages and a recently built dependence situated on old vineyard, overlooking the sea and Mount Etna. ... more   less
