We spent a very happy family vacation in August at the Villa Meo Evoli, a place from another era. There was ample room in the villa and the garden to give each one his/her own space. The large pool (20 m x 10 m) was a favorite of both adults and children. Drinks and dinners on the veranda, with a... More

Everything in Villa Meo-Evoli was fab: lovely room in an amazing historic villa, set in a beautiful garden and with a cool pool. Breakfast was good too and was served in a lovely terrace. Service was attentive. The villa is impressive and very well kept. I wish I lived there

Why is it Italians seem to complain even more than Germans when on holiday. This property is great for a relaxing Bed & Breakfast in a ancient Villa setting. Most Italians like a restaurant with a television on in the eating area, but they do not complain about it! My family and I declined breakfast and any meals, bought our... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa Meo Evoli is versatile and stylish, is an alternative to the usual standard accommodation, offering peace and quiet and a true rest. Spaces designed around the concept of hospitality and leisure-time quality are the hallmarks of Villa Meo Evoli. In Contrada Cozzana, locality Sant'Oceano, set amidst softly rounded hills with a distant view of the sea and blessed by a mild climate, Villa Meo Evoli dates back to the second half of the 18th century and is a worthy testimonial to the life and times of that period. The Bed&breakfast offers a varied, multifaceted ambience, dedicated to the enjoyment of life in all its aspects. The loggia, the hanging gardens and the classic garden counterpoint the frescoes on the barrel-vaulted ceilings and the walls, which depict nature themes with a delicate touch and soft colours. Harmony and tranquillity are the distinguishing features of this residence, inviting its guests to experience inner calmness and serenity in a place which both sooths and delights the senses. At the same time, the Villa is an ideal setting for enjoying the pleasures of social life. Its Venetian rococo furnishings are both pleasing to the eye and designed to ensure comfort and foster conviviality. The rooms at Villa Meo Evoli are situated on the villa's "Piano nobile" or principal floor, embellished with decorations and stucco designs. Special attention has been paid to furnishings, decorative elements, draperies, all in 18th century style. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with wash basin or shower, bidet, toilet, a mini bar and air conditioning. All rooms have a splendid view over the imposing access drive flanked by lime trees and the ancient Italian garden dotted with Graeco-Roman statues. The clients can also be hosted in the Trullo, the traditional Apulian stone dwelling with a conical roof. The trullo is set in a splendid garden with pine trees, holm oaks, rose and Mediterranean bushes, and natural grass. The garden includes a charming area with a table for 'al fresco' meals under the shade of the holm oaks. The 'Ancient Trulli' offer the perfect ambience for a typical, unusual holiday, marked by beauty and complete privacy. Near the Trullo and inside the Garden there is a big swimming pool that can be used by the hosts. ... more   less
