The Achill Head Hotel is the best value on the island for a consistently good lunch. Mussels for €5.50, soup & sandwich combo served with side salads for €6, huge, gorgeous Irish breakfast served until 4pm. It's clean, friendly staff! Highly recommend!

My family and I travelled to Achill Island for our dinner on Saturday evening. We stopped off at the Achill Head Hotel and went into the bar for food. The interior was spotless. You could eat off the floor, the tiles were shining. The selection of food was very good. We had a steak, chicken stirfry, chicken bap, chicken curry... More

Out for a couple on days doing photography of the island and night photography. Blessed with the weather and also blessed that Gillian allowed me to stay the night before they officially opened for the summer. Breakfast was brilliant and enjoyed the evening food. Will go back again thats for sure

I love visiting the Achill Head Hotel, the location is just perfect, the Management and staff are pleasant, welcoming and can do enough for you. The food is fabulous and the home made brown bread and apple pies are mouth-watering. I also love the fresh fish and I suggest you try the Sea food Platter you will certainly enjoy it.

We were staying nearby and stopped into the Achill Head for a light dinner. We both had probably the best soup we've had in a long time and the bread was wonderful. It was a rainy weekend and the bar/restaurant was not full. Our service was very good. If we had stayed longer, we would have gone back for another... More
