Ordered potato skins from the pub lunch menu without greart expectations. But they were superb and imaginative. Great service, excellent value, personable wait staff, nice eating area in lobby, great wifi.

Stayed at Achill Head Hotel with my parents and kids. It was fabulous with something for all to do. My parents enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and loads of outdoor activities for the kids. Highly recommend the hotel And the staff were fab. Scenery is spectacular. CTS Kildare

We visited the Achill Head hotel for a late lunch I think we were there around 3.30pm. We decided to avail of their bar food menu. It wasn't really busy, there were some tables in use but there were others that were free. I noticed that some of the tables hadn't been cleared but anyway we found a clean one.... More

This place was a sad and forlorn tip the last time I was here in 2010 or 2011 but it has been VERY substantially refreshed since. Very good lunch and nice friendly ambience about. The staff told me that new management came in in 2013. Ignore all reviews older than 2013 as they are not representative of the current situation... More

The Achill Head Hotel is the best value on the island for a consistently good lunch. Mussels for €5.50, soup & sandwich combo served with side salads for €6, huge, gorgeous Irish breakfast served until 4pm. It's clean, friendly staff! Highly recommend!

My family and I travelled to Achill Island for our dinner on Saturday evening. We stopped off at the Achill Head Hotel and went into the bar for food. The interior was spotless. You could eat off the floor, the tiles were shining. The selection of food was very good. We had a steak, chicken stirfry, chicken bap, chicken curry... More

Out for a couple on days doing photography of the island and night photography. Blessed with the weather and also blessed that Gillian allowed me to stay the night before they officially opened for the summer. Breakfast was brilliant and enjoyed the evening food. Will go back again thats for sure

Hi Philip, Many thanks for your very kind words. All was our pleasure :) We had perfect clear skies about four nights ago, millions of stars and a fabulous moon......totally ideal for the photography you were doing when you stayed with us. Until the next time, when your back to take shots of Achill by Night, take care. Gillian and... More

I have gone to Achill Island every year since I was born and we go back here again and again each summer to this Hotel for our evening food. Gillian and the staff are fabulous and very hospitable. Food is gorgeous and plentiful and the craic is ninety.
