I love visiting the Achill Head Hotel, the location is just perfect, the Management and staff are pleasant, welcoming and can do enough for you. The food is fabulous and the home made brown bread and apple pies are mouth-watering. I also love the fresh fish and I suggest you try the Sea food Platter you will certainly enjoy it.

A gang of us stayed here before the Achill Roar Race in September 2013. The staff were great, lovely room, fab breakfast before the race and dinner after the race went down a treat. The staff accommodated our bikes aswell! Lovely location in Achill, the beach is nearby. All that's needed is the good weather. Very scenic area and the... More

We were staying nearby and stopped into the Achill Head for a light dinner. We both had probably the best soup we've had in a long time and the bread was wonderful. It was a rainy weekend and the bar/restaurant was not full. Our service was very good. If we had stayed longer, we would have gone back for another... More

Made a return visit to Achill after a great stay in June. Weather unfortunately was disappointing but my stay in the Achill head more than made up for it. When I arrived I was checked in by a familiar friendly face, Fiona. Again she was extremely helpful and friendly obviously a trait in the hotel as it seemed everyone had... More

I have just spent a week in the Achill Head Hotel while attending Scoil Acla. This was a very positive experience from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful, including helping me to carry luggage to my room and going out of their way to be helpful at mealtimes... More

Just back from a family holiday on Achill Island and discovered a real gem. The Achill Head Hotel has recently reopened under new management and WOW! It has been very tastefully decorated and the staff are so friendly. We went twice and the food they serve in the bar is really top notch, as of now, the best clam chowder... More

Stayed here for two nights in what we were told was the quiet side of the hotel. Our room was quite small which we expected with an old hotel but it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We heard no noise. In the morning we were so warmly greeted by Fiona who was so friendly and whose smile was contagious.... More
