We were in Greece three weeks and Mazaraki was the best place. Spotless, beautifully designed room, different tasty treats each day, a great breakfast and wonderful friendly and helpful staff. A little hard to find (the sign was hidden by a plant) but what a lovely location. We walked from the Mazaraki to the ruins at Mystras and though this... More

A picturesque stone built complex, set neatly into the hillside with stunning views of Mystras, across the plain, over Sparti and to the magnificent mountains beyond. The room was extremely well appointed and clean, with chic décor and quirky finishing touches. The staff were welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed a hearty breakfast with excellent local produce, brought, in a... More

I wish there were six stars. This boutique hotel is that good. We upgraded to the Wheat suite which had a magnificent view of the valley from the porch, comfortable couch and chairs in the living room and a complete little kitchen. The decor was apparently done by an actress from Athens. She has great taste: simple and elegant. The... More

It's our fifth trip to the Mazaraki and we are already planning the sixth with friends coming along too. This is a small boutique property with individually styled rooms. If you want a hotel, big reception/breakfast area etc., then don't come here. If you want beautiful rooms, relaxation, great views and wonderful staff, then come here. On a related note,... More

The staff was incredibly friendly- Alexi and Natasa welcomed us and pampered us right away. Absolutely stunning views and the most incredible breakfast of local ingredients delivered to your room. In conjunction with the restaurant Chromata, an indulging-ly wonderful stay!

We stayed here two years ago in the same room - Sky II suite. The room has changed a bit. There are now 2 twin beds in a separate room and a (very) small swimming pool has been added. They are also building an additional section of the hotel next door which will be ready in July. We arrived late... More

We stayed here in Dec 2013. Very nice place to explore Mystras, Sparta, and the East side of Mani. Very comfortable accommodation with homemade breakfast served in your room. Also good to stay with families as ours had two separate rooms that were connected. A closed fireplace gave the cosy atmosphere in winter.

And yes! I came back as promised two years ago! All the good ''staff' had not changed at all. But we did saw some welcomed renovations as the outdoor pool (now I am seriously dreaming of visiting mazaraki guesthouse during summer as well), and the little shop with the amazing handmade soaps. The two girls in the reception could not... More

Even in wintertime (half February) a very nice location. The small village of Poulianadika is easy to find and so is the hotel. Warm welcoming. And the room! A large (45m2) room with a cosy place to sit/relax at an open fire (if you like). Beautiful bathroom with whirlpool. The view from the large balcony is outstanding. The large bed... More

The hotel is in a magical location on the side of the mountains above Sparta. The rooms are split among several separate buildings. The rooms were designed and decorated by a set designer and are an interesting combination of wood and concrete. Our room (Sky 1) had two balconies, one facing the mountains and the other overlooking the valley and... More
