I can't remember how I found this hotel with only 2 days to go before I required the booking... but what success!! I have stayed in quite a few Harz hotels, but this was definitely the best. We were 2 adults, 2 children (6 & 9). It is difficult to find a hotel where you can sleep 2 children in... more

We stayed here for almost a week in June of 2004. The hotel was incredibly beautiful, nestled on a hillside overlooking parks and gardens of an old castle. The hotel owner was incredibly friendly, and knowledgable about the entire region. The food was excellent, and the service top notch and professional. A small owner run hotel with the special feeling of a private arte nouveau mansion. Fine service, nice rooms and a great view in a forrest rich sourrounding. Near the citys of Goslar, Wernigerode and Qusdlinburg. more
