Based on the price alone and other reviews, I had really low expecations. It wasn't as bad as another hotel I've been to. The restaurant isn't great. Eat somewhere else. The location and view is great. Right on the river and near a playground for families. The room was ok. It was clean and the shower was pretty clean. We... More

What looks like a nice hotel just at The Mosel bikelane was in fact a scurvy ,badly cleaned ,understaffed place. No one understood any language but russian. The whole staff were from Kazakstahn and knew absolute nothing about running a hotel!!! The word service does not exist in their language. One wonders how the place survives at all. I think... More

Out of all the places to stay in Tries-Karden we chose this one because of its location next to the river itself. This is not a particular touristy place, and this is not a particularly touristy hotel. Which means that you get good German hotel hospitality and food, and that’s hard to beat. The room was exactly as expected -... More

After an horrendous experience in Austria, we arrived here, only as a stopover, but found a welcome and friendly face. Wished we had spent all Christmas in this atmosphere. The owner seemed to be an all round good egg, who just got on with looking after us. As other people have said, the position is wonderful and could have spent more time.... More

We had a really great stay at this lovely located hotel. On the edge of the river Mosel and ideal for visiting various places of interest. We were part of a coach trip to see the 'Rhine in Flames' The the owner (in our opinion) gave us a perfect service and spoke good English. The food was also very good.... More

Contrary to the expectations that come with the low price for our three day holiday, (an organised coach trip to see the fireworks in Koblenz), this hotel delivered: spotlessly clean and large-sized rooms, comfortable beds, good coffee, a spectacular view over the Moselle and hills opposite, an English-speaking, helpful owner and an un-hurried, friendly atmosphere. The continental breakfast was just... More

We stayed here and were given one of the rooms with a balcony at the front of the hotel. There was a large group of Germans sitting directly underneath our room when we arrived and hours later they were still there drinking heavily. The noise from them was awful, and we asked the 'manager' if we could swap to a... More

This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We stayed over the christmas period. On xmas morning the snow was so bad some of the people on the trip could not get out for a walk. Breakfast finished at 9.30 am. At 9.35am we asked for hot water to make drinks. We were all flatly refused and... More

We stayed here as part of an operated Coach tour for the Christmas markets along the Rhine and Mosel rivers . The Hotel was in a lovely situation with nice views right out onto the Mosel river , it was peaceful and relaxing and you could hear the occassional barge carrying coal ambling past at night ! The whole place... More
