We chose Haus Schwarzenberg in Ernst because it was in a non- congested area for our base to visit the Mosel River area. Marta and Michael were so friendly. Michael carried our luggage upstairs. We were able to park our car across the street. Breakfast was ample: hard boiled eggs, meats and cheeses, cereal, breads and cakes. We had free... More

Booked this place to visit Cochem. Was a bit less expensive than similarly rated places in Cochem. Extremely pleased! Front of hotel is on a somewhat busy road, with parking and the Moselle River across the street. Great views of the Moselle and the vineyards across the river and a nice walking/biking path along the river. Rooms were large, extremely... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Haus Schwarzenberg. The location is phenomenal with plenty of parking and the inn itself is very cute and quaint. Inside, we found the room to be, clean, well appointed, and romantic. I think the rooms vary in size but ours was certainly big enough for us. The bath might be a bit small... More

One of the most welcoming places we have ever stayed at, Marta and Michael were fantastic hosts nothing was to much trouble. Great food really clean rooms and fantastic views, breakfast was amazing and they gave us great advise on where to visit. Best just go and stay and check it out for yourselves !!

We followed Frank and his friend at Haus Schwarzenberg, whom we met at dinner on their last night there. It was our first meal created by Marta and we couldn't believe it! We had frankly had enough of the heaviness usually present in moderately-priced Germany food and Marta's cooking was a delight. We ate there every time we came back... More

My wife and I stayed for two nights as the place we wanted didn't have a vacancy for all the nights that we wanted. I almost don't want to write this review as the hosts are really nice but our stay just wasn't up to the ravings of previous reviewers. Pros: - decent but average breakfast included in price -... Martha & Michael are the best hosts we met in Germany. This couple is very giving and helpful with anything we needed from extra amenities to driving directions/maps to local interests. Breakfast was excellent and more than enough, likewise dinner. Location is in a calm, quiet section of Ernst and a short drive to Cochem. If your looking for a... More

The owners make you feel very welcome and are really helpful. They speak great English! Guests can eat in the hotel and it was lovely to be emailed the menu in advance so that we could be assured of a great, home cooked meal after a long day driving. The polish ravioli was fab! The room was spotlessly clean and... More

We´ve met this place for the first time and we were amazed. The location near Cochem is perfect, quiet despite the proximity of the street, parking free just under your window with nice view at the Moselle river. The owner and his wife are very kind and friendly people, perfectly communicating in English, taking care of your needs. Outstanding wineries... More

Our last hotel during a 2 weeks trip. We wanted to book a hotel near the moesel river, but not in overly expensive and overcrowded Cochem. Ernst is a but dull itself, but we had a nice relax day. If you look well there is enough to do. This hotel was well located in the middle of the town and... More
