Even out of season the hotel was full which shows what a good value it is. Marta and Michael were very hospitable and it was very helpful that they both spoke English - our German being a little lacking! We did a day tour designed by Michael and it was great. The breakfast was lovely with a vast choice of... More

Marta and Michael were great hosts. They had good suggestions (where to rent bikes, towns to see on our way out to the airport since we had a few hours to kill) and Marta cooked an excellent meal. Great value, I would stay here again.

Charming location for a high-season stay in the Mosel Valley. Outstanding service, excellent food, free parking, large spotless room. Michael and Marta and their young family did everything in their power to make our couple of nights in Ernst very memorable.

When you visit the Mosel Valley, this is the ideal place to stay. It is less expensive and crowded than Cochem. The parking is free and across the street. Upon arrival, they helped us carry our bags to our room. I discovered this place on Trip Advisor, and the reviews were accurate about the quality of Maria's cooking. The food... More

There is a reason that the Haus Schwarzenberg is the Number 1 Hotel in Ernst! The reason is simple -- it is an absolutely wonderful, charming, and heart-warming bed & breakfast. Michael and Marta are quintessentially gracious hosts. My wife, son, and I wholly loved our time in Ernst this past weekend – made especially possible by Michael and Marta.... More

I fully endorse the previous two reviewers. This property is a delight, and the hosts, Michael and Marta are extremely helpful and hospitable. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfasts and evening meals prepared by Marta were delicious! Marta and Michael were keen to help in any way possible for us to make the most of our visit... More

I can only repeat the many favorable comments in the previous reviews. Marta and Michael are extraordinary hosts and we had a delightful stay in Ernst. We enjoyed two evening meals prepared by Marta - both delicious with generous portions. The Reisling wine was also excellent. We originally planned to stay in Cochem but after the first visit we knew... More

This was our first trip to Germany. Our stay at Haus Schwarzenberg was a wonderful way to start our journey. The establishment is spotlessly clean, roomy and close to numerous sites. The breakfast buffet included a wide variety of meats, fruits, cheeses, breads, vegatables and condiments. Do take advantage of enjoying an evening meal (prior notification required). Marta's dinners are... More

We spent three delightful nights at Haus Schwartzenberg. Michael and Martha were wonderful hosts. Martha with her delicious cooking and Michael with his great suggestions on places to visit. Breakfasts were a real feast, the rooms were super clean and other guests were from many different countries. Ernst is an extremely small place but it is a good location to... More

We booked this 5 months in advance based on reviews and it didn't disappoint! Our 5 night stay included a mid week package of 2 evening meals and a boat trip. The meals were so tasty that we asked to eat there a third time! The breakfast included fresh fruit salad and a wide variety of goodies. Michael and Martha... More
