Kempen is a small town on a direct rail link between Weeze (Ryanair base) and Dusseldorf and Krefeld and close to the junction of the E34 and E31. This hotel could be called a boutique type hotel-tastefully furnished. Single rooms can be small. Breakfast -very good and substantial if you want it. Very friendly owners and reception. Very helpful. Location... More

I was in Kempen for work and had to stay here for 4 nights. All in all it was a very decent hotel considering the size of the town. I enjoyed my stay here and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful and assisted me with the laundry as well. There should have been fresh water and kettle in the... More

Where do I start - poor room old and very tired decor , kettle ? , all refreshments very poor , hotel very very noisey , shower handle to the side so every time you turned you hit it with your arm to 'Scold mode' !! All in all shocking - won't be back and would not recommend !!!!! 👎👎👎👎

Due to the booked (affordable) hotels is Dusseldorf, I was forced to find something in another city / village. Eventually I found this place. The first impression wasn't the greatest. Not only because I like big cities, but I also had to find my room in another building... When I arrived, it was actually quite nice! The room was deffinitely... More

Stayed here for two nights with my husband while attending a friend's wedding nearby. Don't have any complaints about the hotel. We don't speak German and were greeted by friendly and helpful English-speaking staff. Nice as we were conscious of having little German up our sleeves. We parked in the private (and free) car park behind the hotel. The hotel... More

Breakfast is average the evening meal is pretty good my single room had a bed against the wall, comfy enough marble floor [cold] small bathroom shower, loo and sink which was very narrow. Unfriendly staff, no restaurant, and not at all comfortable. I stayed back in the winter and was a little sick. I was put in a room outside of the main building and across the parking area. The steps leading up to the room were icy and so I asked for help with my bag. I was told "we don´t do... More

Checked in Sunday night with my colleague. Checked out Wednesday morning. Was charged 5 nights instead of 3. (cancellation fee of 160eur) On Tuesday evening i went to inform the reception that i would have to check out Wednesday instead of Friday due to some unexpected change in my travel schedule. I was told (in a non friendly way) that... More

My wife and I stayed here to break a journey from Kiel back home to the UK. My wife booked a room via email for € 88 before we embarked on our journey. On arrival on the late afternoon of 26th October, we were told that we had been given Room 48. This turned out to be in the back... More
