We stayed here passing through to the Black Forest. We had the family-sized room with bunk beds that the kids. The staff was incredibly friendly and Frau Dold took time to show us the property. Dinner and breakfast were very good and it was nice having a dedicated children's room just down from the restaurant. Very comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful stay! We had the family-sized room with bunk beds that the kids found very comfortable and fun. The breakfast room is very cheery, and the hot chocolate was a nice treat! Frau Dold gave us good advice for a morning hike. We will plan to stay at the Kolmenhof the next time we visit the area.

Stopped here on a short trip to Germany and the area, and this was the perfect place to base ourselves. On arrival the welcome was friendly and personal, and this remained in place over our two day stay. We travelled with or two boys over Easter Sunday and Monday, and there were chocolate eggs at our breakfast table AND in... More

After a climb of a few hundred meters, we arrived at this friendly Family-run farmhouse hotel. We dined here every night aswell. Great food and super nice staff. Their dog was friendly to our dog too! Walks from the property were long, it takes a while to get to the "good" part. We will probably return.

Outstanding all the way around. Very remote, picturesque and quiet. The restaurant was equally outstanding for both dinner as well as breakfast. Nice selection of German fare for dinner as well as traditional German selections for breakfast. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely appointed. The owners and staff were very welcoming and gracious. Would highly recommend if you are... More

We spent two wonderful nights with these gracious hosts and enjoyed wonderful dinners as well as breakfast. The rooms were great and the location just what we wanted .... deep in the Black Forest and away from cities. It was a wonderful spot to use as a base to wander, hike, and explore the nearby places in a part of... More

We booked and arrived on Short notice and were greeted personally at the front door by Christoph. We were given the Grand tour and made to feel welcome immediately, there was even a table set for us in the Restaurant! We had intended on staying only one night though due to the personal attention shown to us by Christoph and... More

The Kolmenhof Guesthouse is a family run operation, truly Mom and Pop. The hosts, Christoph and Katharina, are really nice and welcoming. They also speak fluent English, a major plus for us. Katharina was also careful to make sure we filled out a visitor card that gave us discounts or free entry to many local area attractions. The hotel is... More
