Five of us ate here for Sunday lunch after making a reservation. The food was OK but expensive for what it was and especially compared to other local restaurants. We were also given a table pushed up into the corner away from everyone else and no where near the log fire on a cold day. Very disappointed.

Booked this hotel on the basis of previous reviews and wish i hadn't. Whilst the location is good and the dinner delicious, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable to the extent that it ruined our stay. The first night I left the window open and when I did finally managed to get sufficiently comfortable to fall asleep I was woken by... More

Breakfast as mentioned by another reviewer was bread and jam.Not really worth the 78 euros charge. The restaurant was also very ordinary and staff spoke no english to help translate tyhe menu.Food was adequate but set... Well, what a treat. This wonderful hotel near the Abbaye de Valloires with its wonderful gardens and beautiful building has to be the pearl of the area. The Chef is a star - Jean-Claude is young but his fois gras honey and pepper starter is to die for and so are his dauphinoise. Don't ask for his tarte tatin -... More
