We were spending four nights in Normandy to have a look at the Invasion Beaches, sights and museums. By booking early this hotel cost £22 a night, so cheap. I've stayed in a Premiere Class before so knew what to expect and I was very happy with this one. Recently refurbished, despite this and a no smoking rule there are... More

Compact 3 Bed Room suitable for my stay but will not suit elderly customers as the third bed was a bunk bed with a ladder. Air conditioning did not provide heating. More room information required, especially that there is no information as to having to put a 0 infront of the room rumber for Wi-Fi. and instructions required as to... More

The staff was very nice. The hotel (however) was a bit noisy and the people who were sleeping there looked quite suspicious. It has a free parking and our rooms were clean but extremely small. Great price. It has a McDonald's and Carfour right next to it.

Rather than travel overnight on the ferry back to France decided to do an afternoon crossing and stay in Caen overnight. We usually stay in an Ibis. This hotel is situated right next to a Buffalow Grill and right next to the ring road. The bedding was soiled our feet stuck to the floor. The room was filthy. Our sleep... More

Me and my girlfriend and my grandparents stayed here as we were visiting the Beaches of the D-Day Landings. Some good things about the hotel: Price - It is cheap and good value. It includes most things you need for a basic place such as this i.e. plugs, bed, change of towels and sheets daily, and television. Hygiene - It's... More

It was pretty average for the price paid. Rather past its sell by date in places. Ok for one night before moving on. Very difficult to find with all the shopping complexes. Lots of places to eat in walking distance. We had damp, very very grey towels and the window catch did not work so we had to sleep with... More

Stayed here in August at the end of our holiday and needing someowhere handy for the ferry in the morning, plus the Buffalo Grill immediately next door was a bonus. Compared to the Premiere Class on our outward journey, this one did feel a little "down at heel" and in need of a refresh. The room ( on the ground... More

What can you say about a hotel that came to the fore in a moment of great need...? This, of course, is a rhetorical question, but I will answer it anyway. It is a lighthouse, a candle in the window, a safe haven, a firsthand encounter with the old adage, "Beggars can't be choosers." My editor sent me an email... More

This lived up exactly to what I expected of a Premiere Classe Hotel. It was clean comfortable and air conditioned. The free WiFi worked fine which is not usually the case in hotel rooms. It was near a busy main road which had traffic all night but as I was very tired after a hard day touring the Nomandy Beaches... More

It was substantially cheaper than any other budget hotels in Normandy, and Normandy was really busy (it was the week before the 70th anniversary of D-Day celebrations and everywhere was heaving). However, the French can do rude in a style all of their own, and the receptionist was as good at being rude as anyone. I am partially disabled and... More
