We had a beautyfull time here. The Rooms are very nice and individual furnished with eye on pretty little details. It was so quiet, that we could realy relax. Mostly we enjoyed the wonderfull garden, the delicious homemade marmelade served for breakfast and the warm-hearted hospitality of Gishlaine and her husband. Wish we had have more time .

Warm welcome and very comfortable accommodation. My wife and I stayed for one night in late in late May. Madame Requin was most most welcoming. The ambience of the property and the grounds is very tranquil. We had the Madrid Room very comfortable with own cooking facilties. Highly recommended. Roderick Scarth

Very pleasant situation with hosts to match. Whilst we only had one night to make judgments, everything was very well done. Bedroom/Bed was all very comfortable and breakfast was very nice. Maybe the website could do with some attention particularly as when printed it was difficult to read and the post code should be clearly stated on the webpage. Overall... More

Lovely place, warm welcoming hosts. And a very sweet Border Terrier to accompany you on strolls around the beautiful grounds. Just outside the village of Sainte-Maure de Touraine, Le Grand Menasson makes a great base for touring the region. Highly recommended!

Very nice B&B with multiple rooms and options in heart of Loire Valley, south of Tours. Very nice, comfortable, tastefully furnished with beautiful grounds and lake to relax in after day of touring. Convenient to highway, food shopping etc. Also possible to rent entire place for larger party. Ghislane ( proprietress) is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend... More

I'm driving the length of France with an energetic 3 yr old. To slip off the autoroute and escape to this oasis is fantastic. Picnic dinner by the lake followed by a swim. Big swings in the trees. No cars to be heard, just crickets.

We stayed a night at Le Grand Menasson on our way from London to the Dordogne and were delighted. it is a beautiful, peaceful little hotel just 5 minutes' drive from the A10 a little south of Tours. It has beautiful grounds with a small lake to walk round, or take a swim. Madame Requin could not be friendlier and... More

An excellent place to stay with warm comfortable rooms. The hosts are also warm and comfortable and provided a very satisfying French breakfast of croissants, fresh orange juice and coffee. The grounds are expansive and attention to detail is obvious everywhere. Le Grand Menasson is within easy driving distance of several castles and supplies are easily replenished in the nearby... Ghislaine is a wonderful, natural, open, accepting (gay friendly) person. I would love to return one day. Spend a little more and get the self-contained little cottage Madras, you won't regret it! Your own wood fire by the bed, a rocking chair beside the window with views of the expansive grassland and lake - wow!

We spent a lovely time at Le Grand Menasson this november2011. Ghislaine, the hostess was very hepful in evry thing, the room was beautifully furnished, the breakfast with fresh bread, croissants and fruit straight from the garden was some thing you do not get even in 5 stars hotels. It's the perfect location for visiting the Chateaux de la Loire.
