Right in the middle of Cluny (so parking is a bit of a problem, but not insurmountable), this chambre d'hote de charme is all that the other reviewers say, beautifully decorated, retro charm, everything works. It is a bit expensive, especially if you are alone, but there is a kitchen area with microwave, so you can avoid the expense of... More

Four of us arrived in Cluny by bicycle from the green route. We planned to catch a train back to Beaune to collect car and luggage then return to Cluny, only to discover closest train station was in Macon, another 20k away. We were too tired and too late to make Macon, so Claire graciously lent us t-shirts, recommended a... More

We stayed at Cluny to see the remains of the abbey and because it was a convenient place to stop on the way from Lyon airport to Beaune. [A great drive up the back way through the villages and vineyards.] The room was very comfortable and well appointed. Excellent bathroom; comfortable bed. The guest rooms are in the old stable... Cluny itself was a complete surprise for us. It is a fascinating little town with a fascinating story. Our hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good with delicious jams. Our room was on the top floor but worth carrying the suitcases up all the stairs. It was spacious and very comfortable with a good size bathroom.

We loved our stay there! Very warm, friendly, helpful and open owners Claire and Pascal will make your stay memorable. The hotel is a private old, but creatively decorated house, located next to L'Abbaye. It is clean, cozy and comfortable. Pascal visited our home country and even served us the breakfast in a porcelain he bought from there. The continental... More

A wonderful location in the heart of Cluny with great views of the Abbaye. Lovely garden for breakfast and relaxing throughout the day. There is a little kitchen available to guests where they can make their own drinks or a simple dinner. We had a family room which was clean, bright, and freshly decorated. A relaxed welcome and a simple... More

A very warm welcome from Claire and Pascal, a lovely garden to relax in, great breakfast and restaurant recommendation. The decor is quirky and it works very well in the old and beautifully restored house, one persons vision rather than a corporate make over. We stayed after a driving holiday through Southern Germany and a week on Lake Orta in... More

While on a 10 day road-trip across France with my wife and daughter, we learned about Le Clos de L'Abbaye B&B through a Google/Trip Advisor search. After reading the reviews and additional research, we made advance reservations. We stayed in a quaint family unit next to the historical Abbey in Cluny, that offered a King Bed with a twin bed... This was a perfect place to stay for the Cluny portion of our trip. The hotel is charming and clean, and Claire and Pascal are perfect hosts. The loft room was very pleasant, and the garden a lovely place to sit in the afternoons. We're already recommending Le Clos de L'Abbaye to our friends.
