We arrived this place without booking and got lucky, they had one cottage left at the price 650p / night which was perfect for us since we are travelling on a low budget. Afterwards we found out this was the cheapest accommodation in sugar beach. The good things: Staff is really nice, making jokes and smiling all the time. They... More

We were booked at another resort, but opted to check out dining places until we reached this resort at almost the last stretch of sugar beach. Our resort is quite expensive when it comes to food choices and we were delighted when we checked out Sulu Sunsets menu. Almost the same price/rates with local restaurants starting at P120-190 ONLY. We... More

We stayed 5 nights in the family bungalow, and would have stayed longer if it hadn't been booked out to another family. We have been travelling for almost a year now in SE Asia, and we sometimes joke about how the beach bungalows we've stayed in just never quite manage to have everything you'd want. We have quite a long... More

We stayed here for ten days in April 2014, we loved it so much that we kept extending and even after we had left we wished we had stated longer, it was perfect. We hadn't booked and just turned up. Sulu is at the end of Sugar beach and we looked at all the hotels on the way down the... More

We stayed overnight at sulu sunset..basic clean accomodation that is affordable..we got a double room with own private bathroom..bed is okay but the linens are old. The food at the restaurant provides a wide variety of dishes to suit your taste..my favorites would be the salami pizza, carbonara and mixed seafoods which is truly a winner. We went swimming and... Sulusunset is the most aesthetically pleasing of all the resorts on sugar beach. The bungalows all face the ocean with your own sitting area for afternoon siestas in your hammock. The restaurant combines variety, quality and good value. WiFi is not always reliable; if this is important to you, probably sugar beach is not a good choice. If you're going... More

We had a great stay at sulu sunset, we originally booked for 3 nights but ended up staying for 5! We opted for one of the cottages, which are smaller than the bungalows (but cheaper!), however could still see the sea through the trees. Our lodge was very clean, and comfortable with our own private bathroom, and a hammock outside.... More

Yogi the owner certainly has a good sense of humour, he was friendly, entertaining and most of all helpful. We even missed him when he went to the city for a night. There is a pool table which is free to use in the evening which was a bonus and the food was good. I think I enjoyed the salads... More

Just to let you know, i am already back again for the 4th. time now in Sulu Sunset Beach Resort! And it was how i expected it! PERFECT!
