The rather plain exterior of this hotel belies what is within - wonderful interior design with lots of natural materials and clean lines. The guest room we had on the second floor was spectacular. Very roomy, with a private outdoor onsen looking on to a beautiful green view. The public onsen is rather more basic and its outdoor part rather... More

We checked into this hotel in the late afternoon after a drive from Lake Akan. During check in, I realized that I left my camera tripod at the Lake Akan hotel. Upon ascertaining that we stayed at a hotel under the same chain (Yuku no Sato Tsuruga), the hotel staff immediately offered to have the tripod sent to us by... More

After a long drive we finally reached this good onsen hotel. The room was spacious, clean and nice. The good onsen in the hotel helped to wash away all our tiredness. The kaiseki dinner provided by the hotel was very delicious. We enjoyed every dish and all of them were excellant. After dinner, we had a pleasant walk around the... More

The hotel is half way between Memanbetsu Airport and Abashiri Centre. Room spacious and comfortable we opted for Japanese Modern room. The dinner and breakfast buffet had varieties of selaction both japanese and europeen. Lobby and lounge had impressive decorations. The outdoor onsen and hot stone sauna were very nice. If you don't drive a taxi is the only option... More

My second time to this hotel. The service quality of the staff here are excellent! The kaiseki dinner was particularly good, in terms of freshness and tastes, it still beats all the other ryokans I have stayed at both in previous trips as well as this time.

Booked this hotel in order to take the Ice Breaking ship. A pleasant and relaxing stay with a touch of luxury compared to other onsen resorts. Both the outdoor and indoor onsens are located on the ground floor. Personally, I prefer ground floor onsens as it has a more nature feel. The place was not crowded though it was full... More

From some of the pictures posted, those rooms seemed to be ones with private hot tubs. Tour we joined asked for a surcharge of $350 for 1 night which we passed since our stay was for about 8hrs. The "regular" room we stayed on 3rd floor is a bit tired. With shower water going in and out of being hot... More

Very nice room and great view. Spacious and clean. Public bath is just so-so. Strange about that the bar is not open until 9pm. No where to get a drink before dinner. Nice hotel and will stay there if I visit Abashiri again.

Picked this hotel because it looked quite new on Tripadvisor and it turned out to be a great choice. The room we picked is one of the more expensive ones and it was really worth the extra dollar. The entire 2/F is the home to large rooms with private outdoor onsen. The room was spacious, stylish yet simple. Loved the... More

We had a room with private open bath with a view of the greenery. Western beds for us and a tatami bed for our 16 yo daughter. The room is very well equipped with a modern pantry which comes with a coffee machine. Also a Bose CD player and a massage chair. Good quality toiletries and robes and yukata too.... More
