What an astonishing hotel! The decor is really quite mad - I was so astonished by the painted ceiling in reception that I just had to lie on the floor and photograph it! I read the reviews of Jugurtha Palace and decided I did not want to stay there. However, I got voted down. I am a little ashamed to say that I loved the one night I spent there and would not have minded spending another. It is definitely over the top - even more so in December with its Christmas/New Year... more

This is a great hotel, well designed and the setting is really authentic. The real location of Jugurtha Palace is actually GAfsa ville towards and on your way to Tozeur. more

We heard that this hotel had re-opened fairly recently after refurbishment, and I can truly say I have never seen anything like it. Over the top, or what?! The large reception area was generally moorish, with beautiful painted ceilings. The bar was reminiscent of the Middle East in the 1930s (sort of overtones of Agatha Christie).
