We've recently moved to Port Elizabeth from England and it was my husbands 30th so we went here for his treat, there was myself my husband and our children who are 4 & 7 and wow what an experience, we arrived at 3pm and didn't leave until 9.30pm. We spent 2 nights here and on reflection 1 night is sufficient as there is a lot of duplication but an overnight stay with an included visit to Addo Elephant Park is a good experience. The staff work very hard to ensure we had close contact of all the animals and were very knowledgeable and informative. It is a fairly... More

Our group stayed for 2 days at Schotia, and could have stayed there so much longer! Our guide Gregg made our stay. He went out of his way to find us as many animals as possible, and were a delight to get to know. The park itself was a really wonderful place, where all the animals live in their natural... More

We were staying at Addo Afrique where we had booked this safari package. We were not quite sure what to expect but this has been the highlight of our 3 weeks in Africa. Andrew, our guide for the day, was very experienced and knowledgeable with a good sense of humour. He was easy to listen to and the day seemed... More

Our group did an overnight safari. Aside from seeing so many animals (our guide Donovan even spotted a lynx on a hill at night!), I especially enjoyed sleeping at the lodge and then seeing the animals milling about when I woke up. Dinner was excellent, and I was glad to be introduced to malva pudding, my new favorite dessert. Donovan... More

We did the 'Tooth & Claw' experience with one night's stay and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The safari itself was wonderful and a great way of seeing these magnificent animals in their natural environment. Being a private reserve, it is much smaller and a bit more predictable than doing a safari elsewhere, but it really is worthwhile and the ranger... More

What a great experience for the whole family! Absolutely go for the tented camp. It is amazing to sleep at night in the middle of the park and wake up at dawn alone with the animals. We saw the sunrise and a giraffe was watching us from behind a tree just a few meters away. Lots of other animals were... More

I came to Schotia with my wife and 4yr old son in Feb 2014. We had such a wonderful time. Our guide Donovan was so knowledgeable and we learned so much from him. We really lucked out on our game drives and we saw so so many animals. Would recommend this experience to everyone.. thanks Donovan and the Schotia family!!!!!

We did de 4h tooth&claw tour with Malcom. He was a great, very funny and experienced guy. We really enjoyed all his stories and explanations regarding the different animals. Some animals were hard to find in the private reserve. The hippo und the crocodile could hardly be found in the waterhole, but didn't come out to show off. But Malcolm... More
