The wonderful welcome from our hosts included picking us up from Chollerford which was very welcome after 17.5 miles walking and greeting us with tea and cake. The room was luxurious, the evening meal was superb and matched by the following mornings breakfast.

We booked a room as an overnight stay after walking around corbridge and the Roman fort that is there. Upon arrival at the B&B we were greeted by Margaret who was very warm and welcoming. She showed us to our room which was very spacious and clean with a very ample ensuite. Whilst we unpacked she prepared tea and cake... More

Not a bad stop if you are doing Hadrian's Wall westbound. It's only a mile from the wall but don't be fooled by taking the Green Carts road. Turn North at High Teppermoor and cut through the farms to save yourself a walk in the wrong direction in the morning. Warm, comfy and friendly. When dinner was cancelled the hosts... More

Perfect hosts, collecting and dropping us off at the wall and the pub for dinner. Welcomed with log fire, coffee and cake. Attractive room and breakfast as requested. Very friendly hosts, drying coats and boots overnight.

We spent a weekend here. The B+B is a farmhouse on a working farm. Rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. The host Margaret was very welcoming. When we arrived we were shown to the guest lounge where we sat in front of a roaring fire with tea and cake. Breakfast was lovely and set us up for each day.... More

This was one of a series of B and B's that we stayed in on our Hadrian's Wall walk and by far the worst experience. Although the rooms were clean and the food fine, the host, Margaret was so unpleasant, condescending and rude that we were relieved when it was time to leave.

Stayed here on a walking holiday. Excellently located on a working farm . Very large nicely decorated rooms. Pick ups and drop offs offered to Hadrian's wall (but it's actually a very pleasant mile or so walk to the wall). No choice evening meal offered but bring your own wine (we did as we knew in advance)

We were on our last leg of our Hadrians Wall Path hike and found out that our map was inconclusive as to the exact location of Hallbarns B&B. We made a phone call to our hosts who instantly offered to pick us up and bring us to Hallbarns. There, we could settle in before the fireside with hot chocolate and... More

My fiancé and I stayed at Hallbarns as a half way stop to our journey to the Bambourgh Castle half marathon. Margaret was very welcoming and friendly, she took our breakfast order on arrival and was very accommodating with our breakfast time. The B&B is set in beautiful countryside only 8 miles north of Hexham, on the edge of the... More

Greta service, we were picked up at Hadrian's' Wall and taken there again the next morning. Lovely rooms and bathroom was provided with muscle soak bath foam - much needed after out walk on Hadrian's Wall. We had dinner (need to book) at the B&B - really hearty as was the breakfast, No licence, so BYO!
